"Buck" Wolfe and Polly Anna Craft.2,6,1,7 Ross Elmore was born on August 14, 1927 at Virginia.4 He died on August 22, 1995 at Virginia at age 68.2 He ELMORE, Ross, 67, of Route 3, New Castle, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 22, 1995. He was retired from VDOT after 47 years and was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Ouida Wolfe Elmore; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathie and Joseph Reich Jr. of Catawba; two granddaughters, Cherie Nicole and Kara Danielle Reich; three brothers, Dallas Elmore, Elwood Elmore, Craig Elmore, all of New Castle. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church with interment in Huffman Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Boitnott Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads Christian Church Building Fund, Craig County Rescue Squad or Fire Department. on August 24, 1995.2

Mom was a master of many traits and could do about anything she set her mind to from cutting pulp wood to being a seamstress, caretaker and mother to anyone she decided needed a helping hand or needed to be put under her wing. She worked at Craig Manufacturing and Halmode Industries for many years and retired from the Housekeeping Department at Catawba Hospital. She was a member of the New Castle Christian Church where funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Ernie Johnson on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, March 11, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Paitsel Funeral Home Chapel, New Castle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Julia Midkiff. He is survived by his wife, Eula Ellen Midkiff; daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Bryant Thompson; three sons and daughters-in-law, Randal and Diane Midkiff, Ronnie and Joyce Midkiff, Larry and Jennifer Midkiff, all of Floyd; three grandsons, Jeremy Midkiff, Dallas, Texas, Bradley Midkiff, Bryce Thompson both of Floyd; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Maggie and Herbert Shelton, Salem, VA, Barbara and Mike Testerman, Hillsville, VA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Connie and Reif Bond, Indian Valley, VA; three nieces, Lisa Bolt and husband Will, Sheena Bond, Darlene Wolfe and husband Rick; two nephews, Chris Bond, Kenneth Shelton and wife Laura; great niece, Laila Bolt; great nephew, Jake Shelton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Agee officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2003 at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to Floyd Baptist Church, Floyd County Rescue Squad, or Gentle Shepherd Hospice, 4005 Electric Road SW, Roanoke, VA 24014. Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd is in charge of the arrangements. on March 31, 2003.2
