William Earl "Earl" Poff William “Earl” Poff, a genuine, light-hearted, loving father, husband, and friend, was born on October 22, 1953, in Christiansburg, Virginia. On March 5, 2025, the Lord called Earl home after a short battle with a recurrence of lymphoma. He was able to spend his last days at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Earl loved his family more than life, consistently placing them above himself. He was known for frequent selfless acts, overwhelming kindness, and his ability to never meet a stranger. Earl devoted his heart to the Lord early in life, always praying for others, even when he was faced with difficult trials in his own life. He has been a faithful Christian Life International Church member in Salem, Virginia, since 1989. He devoted 53 years of his life as a truck driver, primarily as an owner/operator leasing to many different companies over the years and owning beautiful Kenworths, Peterbilts, and cabovers in his career. Earl loved the trucking industry but loved his trucking community even more. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer Leonard Poff and Susie Link Poff, and nephew Daniel Poff.
