Epperly, Pilot; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday from the White Memorial United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Keith E. Ritchie with burial in St. Matthews Cemetery near Riner. In lieu of flowers the family suggests those wishing to make a memorial contribution to either the White Memorial United Methodist Church Debt Retirement Fund or to the Shawsville Rescue Squad. Friends may call anytime Saturday and also on Sunday morning at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.      Ray Edward Epperly was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2880 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.3 He was born on February 2, 1938 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.6,5 He married Mary Elizabeth Bowles on June 28, 1957 at Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia.3,5,7 Ray Edward Epperly died on October 14, 2015 at Virginia at age 77.3 He Our beloved father, Ray Edward Epperly, 77, of Shawsville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary Bowles Epperly; parents, Willie and Hazel Epperly; and brother, Paul Epperly. A firm believer in hard work, he worked his entire life until shortly before his death. He was first employed at Yale & Towne Lock and Hardware Manufacturing, which later became Eaton Corporation, in Salem. He later founded E & V Enterprises, Inc., and Heritage Homes in Shawsville, where he and Mary renovated, built and sold homes for more than 20 years, until their retirement in 2011. From 2011 to 2015, he owned and operated Epperly Enterprises, a Shawsville property management company. He was a dedicated community servant and a member of White Memorial United Methodist Church in Shawsville for 64 years. He had a passion for helping local families achieve the dream of home ownership, and dedicated much of his free time to this endeavor. He also believed in the power of education, and founded a scholarship to ensure that local high school students could achieve the dream of a college education. Other philanthropic interests included the Community Foundation of the New River Valley, the Meadowbrook Center for Community Improvement, and the Shawsville Lay Ministerial Association Food Pantry. His devotion to his community was surpassed only by his love for and commitment to his family. He is survived by his children, Mark Epperly and husband, Rob Morrow, of Christiansburg, Michael Epperly and wife, Andrea, of Cary, N.C., and Nancy McGhee and husband, Mark, of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Felicia, Hazel, McKenzie and Erica; brother Jerry Epperly of Pinehurst, N.C; and several nieces and nephews. She worked all of her life, until shortly before her death, employed first at Yale & Towne Lock/Hardware Manufacturing in Salem, later as a hair dresser, which she continued in her community for 45 years, retiring in 2011. During which time she also sold housing from their Shawsville home business. Her interest included helping local needy children, as well as others in the community, also providing scholarships for local high school students and contributions to Meadowbrook Center for community improvement. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ray Epperly; children, Mark Lee Epperly and friend, Rob, of Christiansburg, Michael Ray Epperly and wife, Andrea, of Cary, N.C. and Nancy McGhee and husband, Mark, of Christiansburg; brothers, Bill Bowles, of Dublin and Minor Bowles, of Pearisburg; sister, Evelyn Echols, of Christiansburg; and grandchildren, Felicia, Hazel, McKenzie, and Erica. She is also survived by a niece, Mary Helen Brockwell, of Chester; and several other nieces and nephews.      Pamela Sue Rose Pamela Rose-Colbe, 61, of Midlothian, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. She is survived by her brothers, Arlin Rose and his wife, Brenda and Phillip Rose; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mary Rose and a Sister, Patricia Schmuck. Pamela was a GS employee at McGuire Veterans Hospital for 40 Years. Pamela’s graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on friday, July 31, 2015 at Dale Memorial Park.7 She was buried at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield, Chesterfield Co., Virginia.7 She was born on December 31, 1953 at Roanoke, Virginia.3,4,5 As of May 20, 1972,her married name was Underwood.4 She married Earl Eugene Underwood on May 20, 1972 at Roanoke, Virginia.4 Pamela Sue Rose and Earl Eugene Underwood were divorced on May 16, 1988 at Richmond, Virginia.5 As of August 25, 1990,her married name was Colbe.4 Pamela Sue Rose married Robert Lee Colbe on August 25, 1990 at Chesapeake, Virginia.2,4 Pamela Sue Rose died on July 28, 2015 at Midlothian, Chesterfield Co., Virginia, at age 61.7
