He and Mabel Burgess were married December 20, 1947, in Bryson, Texas. She preceded him in death April 22, 2005. Mr. Kelly was a plant operator for El Paso Natural Gas for 30 years. After his retirement in 1983, he and his wife moved back to Throckmorton. He was a Baptist. He is survived by daughter, Pat Cogburn and husband, Mike of Coppell, Texas; son, Mike Kelly and wife, Kathy of Denver City, Texas; 6 grandchildren, John, James, Janalyn, Matthew, Christin and Lindsay; 5 great-grandchildren, Colton, Avery, Mikhayla, Kassidy and Connor. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
