     Daniel Thomas "Danny" Palmer was buried at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.3 He was born on September 28, 1939 at Sanger, Fayette Co., West Virginia.2,3,5 He married Jerri Louise Burns on April 21, 1962 at Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.3,4 Daniel Thomas "Danny" Palmer died on June 20, 2013 at West Virginia at age 73.3,5 He SANGER — Daniel Thomas “Danny” Palmer, 73, of Sanger, went home to dwell with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 20, 2013, following a short illness. Born September 28, 1939, at Sanger, he was the son of the late Thomas Tarzan and Geneva Alice Rainey Palmer. Danny was a member, Senior Deacon and song leader at Gentry Missionary Baptist Church. His gifted singing voice for God had graced the little country church for many years. He loved the Lord and his family and was always willing to provide a helping hand to everyone in the community. He loved and respected the UMWA and as a disabled coal miner with 50 years service; Danny was a good friend to the union. He was a member and financial secretary for Local #6046. One brother, George Sumner; two sisters, Juanita Jenkins and baby Thelma Sumner; great-granddaughter, Kaleigh Mae Miller; and son-in-law, Ian Gilbert Miller; preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Jerri Louise Burns Palmer; one son, Edward Lee Palmer and wife, Vanessa, of Hilltop; four daughters, Norma Palmer Miller of Sanger, Joann Burkett and husband, Randy, of Roanoke, Va., April Cantley and husband, David, of Sanger and Kimberly Perkins and husband, Timothy, of Hico; and one sister, Joann Turley of Oak Hill. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Chris O’Boyle of Jackson, Ohio, Heather Cutrer of Norfolk, Va., Daniel Palmer of Harrisonburg, Va., Jason Palmer of Cocoa, Fla., Nicol Shepherd of Lynchburg, Va., Randy Burkett II of Roanoke, Va., Joshua Miller of Oak Hill, David Cantley of Oak Hill, Nicholas Miller of Oak Hill, Treasure Palmer of Oak Hill, Mahaley Palmer of Oak Hill and Emma Perkins of Hico; 12 great-grandchildren; and his church family at Gentry Baptist Church as well as many additional family members and friends. In complying with his wishes, graveside rites and committal service will be on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill, with Pastor Bill Drennen officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. His son, Edward Palmer, and grandsons, Chris O’Boyle, Danny Palmer, Randy Burkett, David Cantley, Joshua Miller and Nicholas Miller, will serve as pallbearers. on June 22, 2013.3

     Ian Gilbert Miller was born on May 3, 1957 at Frankfurt, Germany.3,2 He married Norma Jean Palmer, daughter of Daniel Thomas "Danny" Palmer and Jerri Louise Burns, circa 1982.1,2 Ian Gilbert Miller died on May 27, 2013 at Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia, at age 56.3,2 He OAK HILL — Surrounded by his loving family, Ian Gilbert Miller, 56, of Oak Hill, died on Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home. Born May 3, 1957, at Frankfort, Germany, he was the son of Robert Lyle Miller Sr. of Greenville, Tenn. and the late Ethyle Hope Hatcher Huffman. He was a disabled self-employed carpenter. He was well-known within the community for his woodworking craftsmanship. Gilbert was a member of the Gentry Missionary Baptist Church at Sanger. He loved reading the Bible and discussing it with everyone. Special thanks to Hospice of Southern West Virginia and their caring staff for the care they have provided. His grandparents, James Albert and Viola Bertha Hatcher and a granddaughter, Kayleigh Mae Miller preceded him in death. In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Norma Jean Palmer Miller; daughter, Nicol Shepherd of Oak Hill; two sons, Joshua Miller and Nicholas Miller and wife, Brittany, all of Oak Hill; granddaughters, Hannah Carte, Isabelle Maggard, Meeka Miller and Dezirae Miller, all of Oak Hill; grandson, Kane Carte of Oak Hill; four brothers, Robert Lyle Miller Jr. and wife, Lisa of Livonia, N.Y., James Kevin Miller of Greenville, Tenn., Michael Miller of Lantana, Fla. and Richard Miller of Columbus, Ohio; and three sisters, Lisa Smith and husband, Don of Clifton Springs, N.Y., Michelle Dyer and husband, Mike of Dobson, N.C. and Rena Russell of California; special mother and father-in-law, Danny and Jerri Palmer of Oak Hill and many other family members and friends. As we celebrate his life and mourn his passing, we would ask that you wear lime green or lime green ribbons to pay special tribute to him and everyone suffering from lymphoma. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Gentry Missionary Baptist Church in Sanger, with Pastor Bill Drennen officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated following the service. Joshua Miller, Nicholas Miller, Lyle Miller, Kevin Miller, Eddie Palmer and Jordan Strange will serve as pallbearers. on May 29, 2013.2
