"Bobby" Cook, 27, of Ravencliff was shot with a 30.06 rifle "eight or nine days ago" at the home of Claude Perry, according to a spokesman for the Wyoming County Sheriff's Department Records indicate the shooting occurred Oct. 15, a Magistrate Court clerk said. Perry was originally charged with malicious wounding and released on bond. After Cook's death, the spokesman said, the charge was upgraded to murder. Perry is now being held in the Wyoming County Jail. Cook was a self-employed construction worker. Surviving: son, Gene of Minden; daughter, Carley of Ravencliff; mother, Ruby M.
