Ruth worked many years as a supervisor at Miller & Rhodes.Ruth loved her family dearly and is survived by her son, Lynn Townsend and wife, Barbara, of Richmond; granddaughters, Tiffany Talliaferro and husband, Foster, of Doylestown, Pa., Kimberly Townsend Stansell and husband, Scott, of Richmond, Va., and Sherry Allaire and husband, Tim, of Lewisville, N.C; grandson, Rhett Townsend of Manakin Sabot, Va; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ashlyn, and Wyatt Talliaferro, Jacob, Sarah and James Stansell, William and Kya Allaire; sister, Edith Bova of Roanoke; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. on September 28, 2016.7

Cook, Jeremy C. Cook, Whitney P. Cook and Ashley R. Cook; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Harry Burns, Hencil Burns, Marvin Burns, Russell Peters, Tommy Glover, Jimmy Glover and William Lee Coffman.
