Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Collins of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Angie Swaim and husband Terry Swaim of Germanton, N.C; and two stepsons, Mr. Patrick Stultz and wife, Kristi of Salem, Va., and Mr. Phillip Stultz and wife, Angela of Roanoke, Va. There are three grandchildren, Mrs. Mandy Crouse and husband, Philip Crouse of King, N.C., Carla and Tony Swaim of Germanton, N.C; three stepgrandchildren, Andrew, Zackary, and Sarah Stultz of Salem, Va; and one brother, Mr. Irvin Collins, of Ararat, Va. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery. on August 9, 2006.2

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Luttie Fisher Stump; son and daughter-in-law, Alva and Deborah Stump; three sisters, Ruby Hicks, Margie Gibson and Lille Mae Holland; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Bill Hinton officiating. Interment will follow in Monte Vista Church of the Brethren Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. on September 30, 2013.3
