Also surviving are two sisters and a brother-in-law, Erma Floyd, Bonnie and Brand Whitlock of Bluefield, W.Va; a niece, Nancy Whitlock of Waynesboro, Va; and a special friend, Pattie Altizer of Christiansburg. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday from the Main Street Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Peter duPlessis with interment in Sunset Cemetery. Friends may call anytime Thursday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Death followed an illness of three years. Services will be held in the home of her daughter, Mamie Smith, with the Rev. Monte Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Oak Hill. She was born August 1, 1813 (1883), in Floyd County, Va., and is survived by her husband, James Jacob Smith, of Sanger. Other survivors include, a brother, Henry Light, Otey, Va; and the following children, Ammon Smith and Winnie West of Sanger, Mamie Smith and Lannie Newton of Oak Hill; and India Liptrap, Thurmond. on September 2, 1948.4
