Funeral rites were conducted from his home, Wednesday afternoon for Lester Kelley of Paynes Creek vicinity, who died suddenly while walking on the street in Roanoke, Monday afternoon, May 18th. He had suffered from an heart ailment for some months; with Rufus Moran, a neighbor, Kelley had gone to Roanoke to carry a load of wool, leaving home about 6 A.M. As he was walking with Mr. Moran about 2 P.M. he suddenly sank to the pavement, dying before he could be taken to a hospital. His body was removed to a Roanoke undertaking establishment, and from there brought to Maberry's Funeral Home. He is survived by his parents, a brother, Cecil of West Va., Beatrice, Hazel and Mrs. Thomas Yeatts. Funeral services were conducted by Elder Willie Vest and Elder Archie Naff. on May 21, 1942.⁶

The funeral services will be conducted at Belmont Baptist Church 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 29, 1992, with Dr. Thomas Cribb, the Rev. Chris Rakestraw and the Rev. Lynn Marstin officiating. Interment in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Belmont Baptist Church or your favorite charity. The family will receive friends at Lotz Roanoke Chapel 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. both Monday and Tuesday. on April 27, 1992.⁴

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren with Pastor Dan Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Copper Hill cemetery. Karen was a lifelong member of Copper Hill Church of the Brethren, which was a very large and loving part of her life. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Gerald E. Moran; her beloved son, Jason Edward Moran; her sisters, Betty Gallimore and husband, Glen, and Sarah King; her brother, J.C. Wimmer Jr. and wife, Peggy; her mother-in-law, Catherine Moran; her brother-in-law, Marc Moran; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, all of which were dear to Karen. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren. Pastor Maurice Wright will officiate. Interment will follow in the Copper Hill Cemetery. Born in Illinois to Clyde and Orril on February 26, 1934 and raised in Indiana. Loving brother to four siblings. Beloved husband of the late Betty Rodabaugh for almost 60 years. Residents of Brookfield, Greendale and snowbirds in Scottsdale, AZ. Dear father of Heather (Joe) Knopp and Ryan (Melisa) Rodabaugh, and adored by his 12 grandchildren. on February 19, 2021.⁴ He died on February 27, 2021 at Wisconsin at age 87.⁴
