'Bob' Cook; paternal great-grandparents, Robert and Helen Williams and William Tibbs and Auretta Baker. In addition to the parents survivors include: Two sisters, Leigh Ann Lively and Miranda Shay Tibbs; maternal grandfather, Ron Lively and his wife Sandy of Princeton; paternal grandmother, Deborah Williams Jennings of Bluefield; maternal step grandfather, Gary 'Papaw' Remines of Bastian, Va; maternal great grandparents, Ann C. Cook of Roanoke, Va., Cecil B. and Ruth Lively of Princeton; uncles, Tommy McCoy of Bluefield, Va. and Scotty Tibbs and his fiance, Sylvia Roten of Bluefield; aunt, Tonya Helton and her husband Calvin of Thomasville, N.C; great aunts, Carol Harmon and her husband Dennis of Douglasville, Ga. and Vicki Cook Carr and her husband David of Roanoke, Va; first cousins, Abbalynn M. Helton and Jay R. Helton, both of North Carolina and Rebecca Beckner of Roanoke; god-parents, Rex and Angel. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from noon to the service hour on Tuesday. Those attending the service are asked to be at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. on August 31, 2004.1

Ann was the loving grandmother of Dennis Garrison, Cassie Newman and husband, Ryan, Josh Maddy and fiancé, Lyra Park, Zach Maddy, Jaime Ayres and fiancé, Greg Jones, and Michael Ayres. She was the loving great- grandmother of Madelyne and Cooper Newman; two brothers, Phillip Light and wife, Bernice, of Forest Hill and Mauriece Light and wife, Laura, of Roanoke, Va., and a sister, Irene Waldron of Roanoke, Va. Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with the Rev. Sam Haught officiating.      Ruth Elizabeth Thompson Ruth Elizabeth Mowery of Forest Hill, West Virginia, 91 was taken gently through Heavens ‘gates at 5:00 p.m. Sunday January 27, 2013 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Hilldale surrounded by her family. Ruth suffered a long illness and is now at peace. She was born on December 19th, 1921, in Ballard, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Oran and Maude Hill Thompson. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church at Forest Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Harold E. Mowery. Also preceded in death were her siblings: Arnold Thompson, Dean Thompson, Sanford Thompson, Fred Thompson, Ellen Campbell Mills and Willey Meadows. Those left to cherish her memory include her only daughter, Joyce Waltman and son-in-law John Waltman of Forest Hill both of who cared for her with love. Also surviving is her brother, Tommy Thompson who resides in Florida. Two granddaughters: Monica Ruth Leak Owens, husband Fred Owens of Fredericksburg, VA and Shellie Leak Radolinski, husband Steven Radolinski of Mechanicsville, VA. Two step granddaughters Karin Powell, husband Chris Powell of Bel Air, MD and Kathy Johnson, husband Mike Johnson of Westchester, PA. She also was blessed with three great-grandchildren: Aaron Frederick Owens, Zackary Steven Radolinski and Madeline Rae Radolinski. Funeral services will be conducted at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton on Saturday February 2nd, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Orville Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Church Cemetery at Forest Hill. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home and one hour prior to service on Saturday at the funeral home. Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers: Ernie Wheeler, Fred Thompson, Don Waltman, Fred Owens, Steve Radolinski, Aaron Owens and Zackary Radolinski. Our special thanks to Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Hospice of Southern WV. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, Forest Hill. Swepston attended the New Hope Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Anna Tabor Swepston; a son, Jimmy of Manassas, Va; a daughter, Mrs. Athoel Lilly of Marie; a sister, Mrs. Cola Allen of Hinton; two half brothers, E. C. Yates of Beckley and W. B. Yates of Marie, and three grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Fairview Baptist Church at Forest Hill with the Revs. Olen Winfree, H. C. Prince and William Jenkins in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the home at 2 p.m. today from the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton and will be placed on the church one hour prior to the funeral. on October 29, 1965.4

She is survived by her daughters, Marsha (Kurt) McAtee of Millersport, Ohio, and Kyra (Michael) McCormill of Florence, Ky; daughter-in-law, Deborah Hinkle Swepston of Dublin, Ohio; grandchildren, Shane Ferrell, Amanda Ferrell and husband Mark Dunlap, Angela Swepston (Mike) Macioce, Heather Walton, Dr. Luke (Rhanda) Damron, Dustin (Kim) McCormill, Jessica (Adam) Stanton and Trey (Elisabeth) Damron; great-grandchildren, Noah, Challen, Halston, Annie, Audrey, Triston, Zoe, Aden, Ellie, Andrew and Carter; a brother, Porter J. (Nancy) Bennett of Hinton, W.Va; special friend, Fern Christian; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and former customers. on August 31, 2017.2
