She is survived by her daughters, Mary Rodick and her husband, William J. and Stella Lennon with whom she lived; her grandchildren, Bill Rodick and his wife, Gina, Carole Fontello and her husband, Jim, Jim Rodick and his wife, Kelly, Deborah Walker and her husband, Dave, Mike Rodick and his wife, Sue, Robert Rodick and his wife, Jen, Jonathan Lennon and his wife, Melinda, Sandra Lennon, Lisa Chalmers and her husband, Bruce, Anthony Lennon and his wife, Theresa and Christopher Lennon and his wife, Wendy. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas and Eldridge Goolsby; 27 greatgrandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren. A service will be held at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park. Entombment will be in the adjoining memorial park. on October 4, 2007.⁴

     William J. Rodick William J. Rodick, age 70, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a brief illness on Thursday, May 28, 2009. Bill was a Teamster and truck driver for over 40 years. He spent over 22 years with the Huber's/Sunbeam Bakery. After the closing of the bakery, Bill spent over 21 years with A. H. Angerstein's in Elsmere. Bill was a life member of the Elsmere Volunteer Fire Co. #1. He held many offices over his 40 year career of loyal and selfless service including the office of President, Director, Junior Advisor, and Training Officer. He was a fixture as an active firefighter, driver, and operator of all the apparatus. He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed all the games of chance. He was well known for his jokes and stories. Above all, Bill's greatest love was his family. Bill was the son of the late Harry and Catherine (Lux) Rodick. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary (Gowen) Rodick; his children, William J. Rodick Jr., and his wife, Gina, Carole J. Fontello, and her husband, Jim, James E. Rodick, and his wife, Kelly, Deborah L. Walker, and her husband, Dave, Michael W. Rodick, and his wife, Sue, and Robert J. Rodick, and his wife Jen; his sister, Carole Strazzella; his beloved grandchildren, Stephanie, Ranae, Rachel, Kim, Billy, Brandon, Lance, Jenn, Ryan, Jimmy, Alexa, Dave, Nikki, Mike, Christina, Ashley, Amber, and Heather; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Taylor, Cameron, Brianna, Gage, Aliviana, Laina, and Ariana; and his loving nieces and nephews. Rodick was born on May 5, 1970.⁴ He died on June 25, 2015 at Wilmington, New Castle Co., Delaware, at age 45.² He Robert J. “Bob” Rodick, age 45, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 26, 2015. Bob was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. He loved watching mystery movies. Bob especially cherished his family and was an excellent caregiver for his mother. He looked forward to family gatherings – especially at Christmastime. Bob was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by his mother, Mary Rodick; 5 siblings: Bill Rodick (Gina), Carole Fontello (Jim), Jim Rodick (Kelly), Debbie Walker (Dave), and Mike Rodick (Sue); 2 girls who were like daughters to him, Amber and Heather; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Rodick, Sr. on July 5, 2015.²

     Stella Lou Gowen Stella L. Stratton, age 72, of Newark, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 11, 2013. Stella built her life around her family and loved them dearly. One of her many joys was when she single handedly delivered her first grandchild. Stella was known for her amazing baking. She enjoyed gardening and canning, Elvis Presley, and watching movies, especially her favorite, To Sir With Love. Stella is survived by her sons: Chris Lennon and girlfriend Kim, Anthony Lennon and wife Teresa, Jonathan Lennon and wife Melinda; daughters, Lisa A. Chalmers and husband Bruce, Sandra Ellingsworth and husband Bruce; sister, Mary Rodick; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Herman and Irene Gowen; and brother-in-law, Bill Rodick.¹ Her married name was Stratton.¹ Her married name was Lennon.¹ She married John Lennon.¹ Stella Lou Gowen married George Stratton.¹ Stella Lou Gowen was born on October 14, 1940 at Nelson Co., Virginia.^5,2 She died on January 11, 2013 at Delaware at age 72.¹
