He divided his retirement years between Oregon and California, returning in 2006 to reside with his daughter in El Dorado, Calif. He was a butcher for 40 years, working locally several years, retiring from Raley's in 1979. He loved and enjoyed his family, looking forward to special vacations to Yosemite when his children were young. He was an avid fisherman and loved reading all of Louis L'Amour's westerns. He was preceded in death by his son, William (Bill) Moxley in 2004 and his beloved wife of 70 years, Ellen, in 2005. He had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survivors also include his daughters, Troma Gillihan and Dorothea Jones of Lincoln City, Ore. Private services will be held at a later date at Westwood Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests that memorials be made to Snowline Hospice. on January 30, 2012.³
