Vest; sister, Charlotte Vest Brown; sister-in-law, Alice Phillips and her husband, Freddy; nephew, who was like a son, Mike Phillips and wife, Abby; nieces, who were like daughters, Becky Hodge and her husband, Rocky, Amy Lamb and her husband, Adam, and Kayla Tyler and her husband, Chris; 12 special "grandchildren," Christene, Sarah, Mary, Alana, Chloe, Cody, Luke, Ashton, Allie, Sam, Kaylyn and Charleigh; "adopted" son, Lauren Yoder and his wife, Chelsa; special cat, Molly; his military family; his railroad family; and many other extended family and friends. Interment will follow at Rest Vale Cemetery in Copper Hill with Military Honors by Floyd VFW Post #7854 and American Legion Post 127. on September 10, 2017.4

Toth, 76, an avid gardener, cook, seamstress and mentor to all, went to her new home in heaven Saturday, July 9, 2005. Born Nov. 2, 1928, in New Castle, Va., she was a lifelong Peninsula resident. Juanita retired from Coats & Clarke Inc. after 20 years of service. Following her retirement, she was known for her tireless service of rendering care to the sick and elderly. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she was known for her cooking skills. She will be missed by her husband of 56 years, Herbert B. Toth; two sons, Steven W. Toth and Gregory D. Toth, and daughter-in-law, Sharon J. Toth; and the apples of her eye, grandchildren, Kristen and Ryan Toth, all of the Peninsula. She is also survived by two brothers, Seibert and Bea Elmore; and two sisters, Ruth Knick and Dorothy Hudson. The family would like to express its special thanks to Nancy Grant and her excellent staff on 5 West at Riverside Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Tabernacle Baptist Church by the Rev. Wes Taylor. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home. on July 11, 2005.3
