Hudnall, 85, of 111 Ohio avenue, died early yesterday morning at her home after a long illness. Services will be held at 2:30 tomorrow at the Baptist temple of which the deceased was a member, Rev. Pat Withrow and Rev. J. B. Overmyer will officiate and burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. The body will be at the residence until funeral time. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. A. E. Harmon. West, on October 6, 1909 at Carroll Co., Virginia.1,2 As of October 6, 1909,her married name was Poff. Mary Edna Dalton died on March 14, 1975 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 92.2 She Mrs. Mary E. Poff, 92, of Bramwell died Friday afternoon in a Bluefield hospital following a long illness. Born at Hillsboro, Va., she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Rachel Goad Dalton. She had been a resident of Bramwell for the past seven years and was formerly of Bluewell. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church at Montcalm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Poff in 1931 and one daughter, Cloa E. Poff. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include five sons, C. M. Poff of Rock, Pelby Poff of Montcalm, William P. Poff of Louisville, Ky., Arthur Poff of New Richmond and Troy W. Poff of Bramwell, with whom she had made her home; two daughters, Mrs. Drexel (Carmen) Long of Rock and Mrs. Zethel East of Snowville, Va; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Elder James H. Sutphin and Elder Joe Lilly officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery at Rt. 2 in Rock. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will serve as flowerbearers. Friends may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell today from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 16, 1975.2

From a one room schoolhouse to the introduction of computers, she thrived on teaching others the knowledge she withheld even after retiring. Through her love and devotion to teaching children, she inspired and touched many hearts in our community. It gave her great pleasure to see her former students excel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton E.Vest; her daughter, Shelba J. Willett; and her son, Terry S. Vest. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mamie Link; her sister, Maleta Walters; her brother, Henry Clay Link; and many close relatives. She is survived by her sisters, Pauline Reed, Etta Mae Hall, Patricia and brother-in-law, Freddie Nichols; and her sister-in-law, Shelby Link. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Denise Vest Harrison and Teresa Vest Cummins; and five great-grandchildren, Sierra Harrison, Makayla Harrison, Josh Vest, Caitlyn Cummins, and Nicholas Cummins. Our family would like to thank her caregivers who became family to us all, Sherry Yopp, Amanda Walters, Jennifer Caldwell, and Teresa Cummins. Also thanks to Southern Care Hospice. Interment will follow at the Wilson Cemetery. on November 6, 2014.10

Mr. McCoy, a native of Parrott and Radford, recently retired from Appalachian Power Company after 42 years of distinguished service, which earned him the friendship and respect of those he dealt with throughout the New River Valley. He is survived by his mother, Reba T. Hopkins of Parrott; three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry W. and Brenda McCoy of Dublin, Daniel E. and Sandra McCoy of Radford, Jayson B. McCoy and Jayson's mother, Linda A. McCoy of Radford; his sister and brother-in-law, Dottie M. and Lou Kershner of Virginia Beach; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry W. and Glenda Hopkins of Parrott; three grandchildren, Travis and his wife, Tammy, Tracy and Christopher McCoy; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Roy Jennelle, Otis Mabry and Linda Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, at Fairlawn Grace Brethren Church, the Rev. Lester Kennedy officiating, with interment at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The body will arrive at the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral arrangements are by Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home. on January 23, 1996.1

     Rheba Jane Light was buried at Iddings Cemetery, near intersection of Daniel's Run Road and Huffville Road, Terrys Fork, Floyd Co., Virginia.8 She was born on October 20, 1914 at Floyd Co., Virginia.9,3,8 She married Joseph Conner "Joe" Link, son of David Wesley Link and Lucy Mary Conner, on December 17, 1932 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.10,9,5,3,8,11 As of December 17, 1932,her married name was Link.12 Rheba Jane Light died on November 19, 2010 at Virginia at age 96.8 She On November 19, 2010, our dear mother, Rheba Light Link, of Check, took her Savior's hand and left her earthly family to claim her reward in heaven. Rheba Light Link was born October 20, 1914 in Floyd County, Va. to Henry Jacob Light and Tempie Elizabeth Vest Light. She is the last surviving member of her family of nine siblings: Lacie (Archie) Vest, Harlie (Arlin), Hubert, Hulen, Roy (Norma), Carson (Hazel), Doy (Arlie), Clara and Louise. Many beloved nieces and nephews on the Link and Light side have been an important part of her life. On December 18, 1932, Rheba married Joseph Conner Link. They were married 31 years until Joe was taken from her and the family by a heart attack on November 18, 1963. To this union there were eight beloved children: Joan (Harless) Akers, Betty ( Ike) Reynolds, Mary (Cleve) Richardson, James (Peggy) Link, Danny Link, Brenda (Carl) Hungate, Paul Link, Allen (Pat) Link, and foster daughter, Joyce (Chris) Whittaker. Also left to cherish her memory are beloved family friends, Nancy Altice and Linda Pollard. Also preceding her in death were daughters-in-law, Darlene Link, Brenda Jenks and Karen Shepherd and sons-in-law, Ike Reynolds and Cleve Richardson. Rheba was called Granma by 29 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2010 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at the Iddings Cemetery at Terry's Fork. Friends may call at Gardner Funeral Home on Sunday after 12 p.m. where the family will be from 3 to 5 p.m. There will be no night visitation. on November 21, 2010.8
