Interment will follow in Thorn Spring Cemetery where V.F.W. Post 1184 will conduct military graveside rites. Visiting will be anytime Tuesday after 4 p.m. at Thomas M. Chuck worked for the Bon Ton for over 30 years until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Stump was a member of First Baptist Church of York. He was also a member of the Bon Ton Retirees Club. Chuck enjoyed gardening, fishing and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Stump served our country for three years in the United States Air Force, where he was a Control Tower Specialist. Along with his wife, Lois, Charles is survived by two sons, Jeffrey S. Stump of Williamstown, N.J. and Charles W. Stump II and his wife, Andrea K. of Poolesville, Md; two daughters, Carolyn A. Stump of York and Shelley L. Walter and her husband, Jeffery L. Rexroth of York; four grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Stump, Sean L. Stump, Wyatt C. Walter and Jesse S. Walter; two great-grandchildren, Hailey S. Stump and Tyler M. Stump; and one sister, Barbara Resh of Hagerstown, Md. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mitchell S. Stump; and a sister, Constance J. Smith. on January 30, 2013.²
