     Patricia Ann Wells was born on August 30, 1935 at Amigo, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^1,2,3 She married Joseph Leroy Woolwine, son of Rev. Charles Noah "Charlie" Woolwine and Virginia Kathleen Vest, on June 15, 1956 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,3,4 As of June 15, 1956,her married name was Woolwine. Patricia Ann Wells died on November 15, 2021 at Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 86.² She Patricia Wells Woolwine, age 86, of Shawsville, Va., went to her heavenly home on Monday, November 15, 2021. She was born in Amigo, W.Va. on August 30, 1935 to the late Charlie and Maude Wells. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William (Buddy) Wells; sister, Martha (Janabee) Wells Carper; grandson, Bryan Woolwine. Patricia was a graduate of Stoco High School, class of 1953 in Coal City, W.Va. She played the trumpet in the band for four years. She loved her family and enjoyed going to church, singing specials, and playing her trumpet with her daughter, Cindy Crockett. She was a member of the Elliston Church of God for many years, and was also blessed by Pastors, Eddie and Sandra Booth of Moores Chapel Baptist Church. Patricia worked at Green Hill Meat Packing Company for three years and retired from Meadowbrook Nursing Home in 1996 after 18 years of housekeeping service. Patricia is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leroy Woolwine; daughter, Cindy Crockett and husband, Russ; sons, Chuck Woolwine and wife, Karen, Tim Woolwine and wife, Robin; grandsons, Andy and Cody Woolwine; granddaughters; Dawn and Ryleigh Woolwine; sisters, Donna Ratcliff and JoEllen McDaniel of Shawsville; brother, James (Piggy) Wells of Ironto. on November 17, 2021.²

Bryan was born on April 11, 1990 and was the son of Timothy Joe Woolwine and Victoria Combs Statzer. Charles Noah "Charlie" Woolwine and Virginia Kathleen Vest, on May 9, 1958.¹ As of May 9, 1958,her married name was Woolwine. Shirley Elizabeth Sowers and Donald Ray Woolwine were divorced on September 18, 1984.³

     Dennis Howard Conner married Carol Southern.¹ Dennis Howard Conner was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.⁶ He was born on November 7, 1925 at Giatto, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,5,6,7 He married Sylvia Matusevich on July 11, 1947 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,3 Dennis Howard Conner and Sylvia Matusevich were divorced on April 21, 1953 at Raleigh Co., West Virginia.¹¹ Dennis Howard Conner died on December 28, 1963 at Wellsburg, Brooke Co., West Virginia, at age 38.^1,6,7,8 He Dennis Howard Conner, 38-year-old Wellsburg High School basketball coach, died of a heart ailment at his home at 2:30 a.m. Saturday a few hours after his team lost an overtime game at Moundsville. Mrs. Conner said that her husband became ill during the overtime, in which Wellsburg dropped a 55-54 decision; and that he went immediately to bed upon arriving home about 11:30 p.m. Conner underwent open heart surgery in Pittsburgh in September. A Mercer County native, he will be buried in Princeton, where his parents. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Conner, now reside. Conner was a Concord College graduate and had a master’s degree from West Virginia University. Three sons also survive. on December 29, 1963.⁸

     Virginia Lynn Bland Virginia Lynn Bland Duncan, 76, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She was born in Radford, Virginia on February 22, 1947, to the late James Edward Bland, Sr., and Doris McGhee Bland. She was also preceded in death by her brother Harry Lee Bland. Lynn dreamed of following in her mother's footsteps to become an RN. She accomplished this and served many families during their time of need. She is survived by her husband, Jackson B. Duncan; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Mike Rorrer; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Suzanne Woolwine; grandchildren, Ashley Apjok and husband Scott, Kelsey Woolwine, McKinley Rorrer, Ryan Woolwine and wife Nicole; great-grandchildren, Maggie Apjok and Lucas Apjok; stepdaughter, Kim Wade and husband Steve; step-grandchildren, Jackson Wade and Shannon Wade; sisters, Kaye Bland and Delma Griffith; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Sandy Bland; sister-in-law, Mary Bland; numerous nieces and nephews; Jenny her beloved companion who was always by her side. A special thank you to her caregivers Lena Lytton and Alicia Leonard. Our family was comforted in knowing that Lynn was being cared for and loved on a daily basis. Thank you to all the nurses and staff at Intrepid USA Hospice Radford during this time.      Gracie Lucille Walker was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^3,4 She was born on May 24, 1922 at Bramwell, Mercer Co., West Virginia.³ She married Elmer Eli Conner, son of Dennis Haden Conner and Addie Anna "Annie" Kingrea, on December 17, 1938.^1,5,3 As of December 17, 1938,her married name was Conner.⁵ Gracie Lucille Walker died on March 13, 2013 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 90.³ She Gracie Walker Conner, 90, of Wheatland Assisted Living in Radford, Va., and formerly of Princeton, W.Va., passed away surrounded by her loving family as she went to meet the Lord and Master Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, Va. Born on May 24, 1922, in Bramwell, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Henry Walker and Vellie Hill Walker. Gracie married her loving husband, Elmer Conner, in 1938 and had two loving children, Elmer Dale Conner and Wanda Jean Conner. She lived in McComas with her family until 1955, loving every minute of her life in this little coal camp. She attended McComas Methodist Church later moving her membership to the Maple View Church of Christ in Green Valley. She moved to Radford, Va., in 2002 to be close to her daughter, Jeanie, and her grandchildren. Gracie worked for Goodykoontz Drug Store in Bluefield for 25 years. She loved bowling, and took many national bowling trips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Elmer E. Conner; one son, Elmer Dale Conner; one daughter, Jeannie Conner Miano; two brothers, Robert Mabe and Athel Mabe; and two sisters, Hazel Carter and Opal Hankins. Survivors include six grandchildren, Troy Lee Conner, Debra Ann Conner Shannon, Michael Anthony Miano and wife, Heather, Gina Marie Miano, Marc Christopher Miano and wife, Sarah, and Michelle Miano Valentine and husband, Shawn; four great- grandchildren, Morgan Concetta Miano, Anthony Stephen Miano, Catherine Alexandra Miano, and Tyler Michael Valentine; one sister, Dorothy Holtz, of Omaha, Neb; and extended family and many friends at Wheatland Assisted Living, that provided her with wonderful care and friendship. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. on March 15, 2013.³
