A native of Roanoke, VA, she was a homemaker and a member of Ray of Hope Pentecostal Church in Richmond. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Townsend Perdue. He retired from civil service as a mechanical engineering technician. Gerald was a deacon of Port Norfolk Baptist Church (now Deep Creek Baptist), sang in the church choir, and member of the Friendship Bowling League. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Gerald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Olive Perdue Eavey; two sons, Kenneth Michael Eavey (Katherine) and John Edward Eavey (Suzanne); brother, Larry Stephen Eavey (Martha); brothers-in-law, Chester Moscoffian and Perry Lilley; four grandchildren, Megan Leigh Neeley, Brian Eavey, Zachary Eavey and Jared Eavey; and three great-grandchildren, Hollis Neeley, Laird Eavey and Evangeline Eavey.
