     Portia Carenia Bruzda was born on September 11, 1942 at Fort Wayne, Allen Co., Indiana.2,1 As of May 15, 1965,her married name was Wines.1 She married Samuel Leonard Wines, son of Samuel Elliott "Sam" Wines and Ruby Alice Stone, on May 15, 1965.1 Portia Carenia Bruzda died on March 30, 2007 at Las Vegas, Clark Co., Nevada, at age 64.2,1 She Portia C. Wines, 64, of Las Vegas, formerly of Toledo and Temperance, died March 30 in Las Vegas. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Bedford Funeral Chapel, Temperance. The Rev. Daniel Nusbaum of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church will officiate. Born Sept. 11, 1942, in Fort Wayne, Ind., she was the daughter of Chester and Helen (Wilson) Bruzda. She married Samuel L. Wines on May 15, 1965. She was an Avon Lady and also worked at Otto's Variety Store in Trilby, Ohio, and held a position in the post office there. She enjoyed making and selling crafts. Surviving are her husband; a son, Joseph (Mary Beth) of Las Vegas, and three grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation of Northwest Ohio or the American Heart Association. on May 13, 2007.1
