     James Millard Poff was buried at South Fairview Cemetery, Wellington, Collingsworth Co., Texas.4 He was born on February 13, 1859 at Roanoke, Virginia.5,1,2 He married Tennessee Roxanna Donnell on November 13, 1878 at Grayson Co., Texas.6 James Millard Poff died on March 3, 1935 at Wellington, Collingsworth Co., Texas, at age 76.4,1,2 He James Millard Poff, 76, passed away at his home three and one half miles northeast of Wellington Sunday, March 3. Mr. Poff was born at Roanoke, Virginia, February 13, 1859, and was 76 years and 18 days of age at the time of his death. He was married to Miss Tennessee Roxanna Donnell on November 14, 1878, and she preceded him in death eight years, six months and l5 days. To this union five children were born. Mr. Poff was converted at Grayson County, Texas, near Whitesboro, at the age of 30 years and joined the Methodist Church. For the past 46 years he has been a faithful servant of the Lord and of the church, and as Rev. Johnston stated in the services, he was ever a devoted father and a loyal honored citizen. He also held the honor of being one of the early residents of Collingsworth County, having come to this section 28 years ago and made his home here since that time. His passing is mourned by many friends, some of whom have known him since since he came to the county and others he has come to know in more recent years. He is survived by three children, W. E. Poff, and Mrs. M. L. Roberson of Wellington, and J. M. Poff, Jr., of Elida, N. M; two sisters, Mrs. T. B. Hardeman of Sherman and Mrs. Lou Robertson of Wellington; two brothers, C. C. Poff of Tulia and W. T. Poff of Wellington. Also 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ernest Nipper, Earl Nipper, Ellis LaHue, Homer Ingram, Gordon Peters and Dabney Peters. Honorary pallbearers: George Brewer, V. G. Simpson, M. A. Huffhines, G. N. Hite, S. B. Bowen, John Martin, Claude Neece and Howard Forbis. on March 7, 1935.1

Poff and Luemma "Lou" Argabright, on November 13, 1878 at Grayson Co., Texas.2 As of November 13, 1878,her married name was Poff.2 Tennessee Roxanna Donnell died on January 15, 1926 at Collingsworth Co., Texas, at age 70.3,5 She Mrs. T. Poff, aged 70 years died at her home July 15, four miles east of town. Besides her husband she is survived by several children. The cause of her death was cancer of the stomach. on August 26, 1926.5

E. O. Brown, pastor, of First Baptist Church here. Mr. Caldwell, who was 78, died following a lengthy illness. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Born Aug. 30, 1874, at Effingham, Ill., he was the son of Amos P. and Virginia Hendrix Caldwell. He was reared in Southwest Missouri and attended school at Mountain Home Academy in Arkansas. In 1897, he was married to the former Miss Delia Daniel of Des Arc, Ark. They came to Barfield in 1913 from Iron County, Mo., and he taught in Mississippi County schools for 15 years. Later, he worked at the Meyer Bros. Gin Co. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Chester Caldwell of Blytheville and Herschel Caldwell of Durham. N.C; three daughters, Mrs. Essie Lendennie, Mrs. Lagrone Whittle and Miss Patsy Caldwell, all of Blytheville; seven grandchildren and one great-Taylor, William Young, Jim Allen Haynes, John Taylor, Charles Lutes and Frank Whitworth. on February 6, 1952.7
