He was a veteran of World War II, was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 120, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Oak Hill, American Legion at Fayetteville and United Methodist Men of the United Methodist Church. Born at Marie, Summers County, Jan. 22, 1901, he was a son of the late Giles Washington and Aridel Hoback Iddings. Survivors include his wife, Arglena Woolridge Iddings; three sons, James Henry, Robert Giles and William Joseph, all of Oak Hill, and a brother, Leslie Iddings of Marie. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Rev. William D. Slates in charge. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery at Marie. A brief memorial service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Friday at the New Hope Baptist Church at Marie. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. today. on March 27, 1975.3

Daisy Blaine Meadows was buried at New Hope Church Cemetery, Monroe Co., West Virginia.4 Her married name was Cody.3 She married Walter Lee Cody.5 Daisy Blaine Meadows was born on May 7, 1884 at Summers Co., West Virginia.4,3 As of May 7, 1903,her married name was Iddings.2 She married William Jasper "Willie" Iddings, son of Jonathan Bird Iddings and Rosa Belle "Rosa" Clower, on May 7, 1903 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.1,6,2 Daisy Blaine Meadows and William Jasper "Willie" Iddings were divorced before April 25, 1930.7 Daisy Blaine Meadows died on August 19, 1963 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia, at age 79.4,3 She HINTON — Mrs. Daisy Iddings Cody, 79, of 312 Summers St., Hinton, died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday in a Hinton hospital where she had been a patient for 11 days. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage. Born May 7, 1884, in Summers County, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Mary Wiseman Meadows. She was a lifelong resident of Summers and Monroe counties. Mrs. Cody was a member of the Zion Methodist Church. Survivors include five sons, Roy of Montgomery, Charles of Hinton, and Harold, Archie and Roscoe Iddings, all of Richmond, Va; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Cody of Marie and Miss Rose Iddings of Hinton; a brother, William Meadows of Hinton; three sisters, Mrs. O. C. Allen and Mrs. Oliver Kessler, both of Hinton, and Mrs. Lena Lyton of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A son, James, died in 1960. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the New Hope Methodist Church at Marie with the Rev. Fred Dillon and the Rev. Olan Winfree in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral. on August 30, 1963.3

Hooper Funeral Home, Montgomery. The body will be taken to the church an hour before the service. on February 24, 1976.5

Hatcher Iddings; four brothers, Roy of Montgomery and Roscoe, Harold, and Archie, all of Richmond, Va; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Cody of Marie and Mrs. Rose Belcher of Lynchburg, Va; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Maxine Harford and Mrs. Anna Sue Barker, both of Hinton, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be in the Community Christian Church at 4 p.m. Thursday with Rev. John F. Atkinson in charge. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery near Marie. The body will remain at the E. M. Meadows Funeral Home and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral. on August 20, 1969.6

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Woodrow Cody; five brothers, Roy, Charlie, Jess, Harold and Roscoe Iddings; and a sister, Rose Belcher. Survivors include a son, James William Iddings and wife, Helen, of Greensboro, N.C; a brother, Archie Iddings and wife, Gladys, of Richmond, Va; three grandsons, Michael Iddings and wife, Vicki, Kevin Iddings and wife, Julie, and Jeffrey Iddings and wife, Penny; six great-grandchildren, Courtney, Kristin, Cody, Jordan, Bryan and Jake Iddings; a special nephew and niece, Emerald Neal of Clinton, Mich., and Willa Whetsel of Union, who were especially loved and looked upon as her own. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Methodist Church, Marie with the Revs. Sam Groves and Ronnie Iddings officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery. Born Jan. 20, 1917, at Marie, he was the son of the late William J. and Daisy Meadows Iddings. Mr. Iddings was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He had a trade union career that spanned more than three decades. He was hired as a bus operator for the former Virginia Transit Co. (now the Greater Richmond Transit Co.) Always a union activist, he was elected vice president of Local 1220 of the Amalgamated Transit Union in 1958, and president of the local in 1960. As vice president of the Virginia State AFL-CIO and the Amalgamated Transit Union, Mr. Iddings was a principal lobbyist on labor, consumer and public interest issues in the General Assembly. In addition to the post with the Virginia State AFL-CIO and the Amalgamated Transit Union, Iddings was also president of the Richmond Regional Labor Council, a member of the Mayor's Committee for the Handicapped, a trustee for the United Way of Greater Richmond (now United Way Services), a director for the Richmond Community Action Program and a member of the City Democratic Council. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Gladys Gill Iddings; two daughters, June Iddings Williams and husband, Joe, of Portsmouth, Va., and Darla Iddings Reynolds and husband, Scott, of Alexandria, Va; two grandchildren, Joseph D. Schneider and wife, Marcia, and Rebecca S. Bunce and husband, Doug, and three great-granddaughters, Jessica, Madison and Jordan, all of Portsmouth. Service will be 4 p.m. today at Bliley Funeral Homes, Chippenham Chapel, Richmond. The body will be returned to Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors, Hinton, where friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
