Surviving are his brother, Dennis Blevins and wife Carol of Moneta; sisters, Noeta Blevins of Henry County; Patty Blevins and Paula Dautel of Palm Harbor, Florida; step brother, Ray Huddleston and step sister, Faye Moran, and numerous nieces and nephews that he truly loved and cherished. He also served as a deacon at Central Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling, trout fishing and the Washington Redskins (although probably not so much this year). Hilton is preceded in death by his parents; his infant son; his sister, Goldie Poff; and his brothers, Wilbert, Tildon, Wilton and Maynard.      Bradley Wayne Palmer Bradley Wayne Palmer, 27, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018. he was predeceased by death by his father, Barry Lynn Palmer; grandfather, Ellis Wayne Palmer, and uncle, Michael Wayne Palmer. Surviving family includes his twin brother, Travis William Palmer; sister in-law, Heather Palmer; nieces Sophia and Ariel Palmer; sister Kristen Palmer and Dustin Harper; mother, Kathy Ulrich, stepfather, Brian Ulrich; aunt, Linda Palmer; grandmother, Peggy Palmer; faithful dog TriPod, and many, many special friends. A celebration of his life will take place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Rodger Hogan officiating. Augustson, 74, left this world on Jan. 26, 2001 to join his wife Freda. Mr. Augustson was born in Bena, Va., and was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Bricklayers Local No. 2 of Virginia since 1949. He was a member of the Holland Road Baptist Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Survivors include his daughter, Kathryn A. Read of Knotts Island; two sons, Leonard Emil Augustson of Chesapeake, and John Andrew Augustson II of Virginia Beach; a brother, James Emil Augustson of Avon, N.C; two granddaughters, Julie Augustson of Wilmington, N.C. and April Lumpkin of Puerto Rico; a great-grandchild, Harley Grimmett of Wilmington, N.C; and numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Robert F. Pittman III. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.
