Callahan, 82, of Sullivan died at 6:20 a.m. Monday at a local hospital after a long illness. He was born July 2, 1891 at Clifton Forge, Va. a son of the late Henry M. and Amanda Elmore Callahan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Sullivan and UMWA local 7086. He was a retired wireman for Lillybrook Coal Company. Survivors include his widow, Nannie Wade Callahan; two sons, Ned of Sullivan and Warren Jr. of Dallas, Tex; four daughters, Mrs. James (Katheryn) Johnson of St. Albans, Mrs. Clayton (Elizabeth) Newland of Beckley, Mrs. Ruth Gallagher of St. Albans and Mrs. Mildreth Ricketts of Sullivan; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Perdue of Clifton Forge, Va; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Keyser-Bryant Funeral Home with Rev. R. H. Todd officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. today. Pallbearers will include Gene Billups, James Cassity, James Huffman, Clifford Lively, Paul Callahan and Bill Crum. on July 2, 1974.7
