Crawford, September 18, 1956 - January 19, 2023. Walton L. Crawford, 66, of New Castle, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Crawford and Marie Byrd. Walton was a life member of Mountain View Christian Church and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Tammy Crawford; sons, Robert E. Crawford, Johnathon R. Crawford (Debra), and Allen E. Crawford (Kayla); daughter, Angel B. Senter (Robert); grandchildren, Rebekah Crawford, Robert Aiden Crawford, Christopher Mathes, Johnathon Crawford, Jeremiah Crawford, Preston Crawford, Landon Crawford, and Verity Senter; and brother, Michael Crawford. Interment will follow in Huffman Memorial Park. on January 25, 2023.³ He died on January 29, 2023 at Virginia at age 66.³

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie Preston, III and Jackie Kelly of New Castle, and Brandon Lee Kelly of New Castle; daughter, Ashley Nicole Kelly of Salem; grandson; Austin Kelly; sister, Linda King of Hollins; girlfriend, Nancy Lennebeckner of New Castle; an uncle, James Boyd Purdy; and also several cousins. Interment will be private. on October 22, 2002.⁶
