     Billy Marshall Hale was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.2 He was born on June 15, 1929 at Virginia.3,4 He married Frances Vest circa 1953.5 Billy Marshall Hale died on July 27, 2012 at Virginia at age 83.2 He Billy Marshall Hale, 83, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord and join his loving wife, Frances, on Friday, July 27, 2012. Billy was also preceded in death by his mother and father, Fannie and Delaney Hale. Billy had worked as a hostler for the N & W Railroad. He was known for his passion for growing and selling tomatoes and had enjoyed RVing with his wife. Surviving are his son, Robert Marshall Hale and wife, Elaine, of Roanoke; daughters, Rebecca Hale Pritchard and husband, Randy, of Rocky Mount, N.C. and Janice Hale Rucker and husband, Sherman, of Palm Coast, Fla; grandchildren, Stephanie Pritchard, Brandon Rucker, Luke Hale, Randy Pritchard,Jr. and Kevin Pritchard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Church of the Brethren, 2001 Carroll Avenue NW, Roanoke, VA 24017. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012, at First Church of the Brethren with Pastor Dava Hensley and the Rev. Chips Doyle officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Oakey's North Chapel, www.oakeys.com. on July 29, 2012.2

     Frances Vest was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.1 She was born on July 5, 1933.2 She married Billy Marshall Hale, son of Delaney Osbey Hale and Fannie Gaye Blackwell, circa 1953.1 As of circa 1953,her married name was Hale.1 Frances Vest died on June 2, 2010 at Virginia at age 76.1 She Frances Vest Hale, 76, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mae Vest; and a nephew, Chuck McGhee. Frances was a member of the First Church of the Brethren. She was retired from Fink's Jewelers as an assistant manager and registered jeweler. Some years ago she drove a school bus for Roanoke County Schools. After retirement she enjoyed a part time job at Dippin Dots at Valley View Mall where she kept in touch with many of her mall walker friends. She loved to travel and was the happiest when taking her motor home to Myrtle Beach or Florida. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Billy M. Hale; three children and their spouses, Rob and Elaine Hale, of Roanoke, Becky and Randy Pritchard, of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Janice and Sherman Rucker, of Palm Coast, Fla; five grandchildren, Luke Hale, Stephanie, Randy and Kevin Pritchard, and Brandon Rucker; and her sister, Doris Martin and husband, Bob, of Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Church of the Brethren, 2001 Carroll Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24017. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010, from the First Church of the Brethren. Pastor Dava Hensley will officiate. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237. on June 4, 2010.1
