He was born at his family farm June 26, 1945. He was preceded in death by is parents, "Bud" Howard W. King, Sr. and Eloise Hope Angle King; sister, Cora Lewis King; brother, Harold Wayne King. "Chip" was the co-owner of King Brothers Farms located in Floyd County. He loved farming and his family. He was married 44 years to his beautiful and loving wife, Gladys Mae Conner King. He rode his John Deere tractor up until the day before he went to his heavenly home. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Mae Conner King; son, Mark Wayne King; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Teresa and Randy Simpson; granddaughter, Megan Lynn Simpson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carson Lee King and Sylvia, "Willie" Will Roger King and Nancy; nieces, Stephenie Perdue, Kristie Nary, Samantha Lunnie; nephews, Chad Conner, Todd Conner and special nephew that was like a son, Bradley Ward King. Interment to follow in the Copper Hill Cemetery. on October 18, 2016.4

She was born circa 1916.2 She died on February 25, 2008.2 She Stella Huffman Gusler, 92, of Roanoke and formerly of Botetourt County, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2008. She was a very faithful member of Shenandoah Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin A. Gusler; son and daughter-in-law, Norman J. and Sadie Gusler; greatgrandson, Steven Gusler; six sisters; and one brother. Stella is survived by one daughter, Ella Mae Gusler; four grandchildren, Debra Herron and her husband, Ronald, James Gusler and his wife, Mary, Betty Gusler, and Brenda Davison; nine great-grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Johnson; brother-in-law, Woodrow Gusler; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Unit 2 Nurses at Salem Health and Rehabilitation, also a very special friend, Fran O'Conner; and the members of Shenandoah Baptist Church for all their support. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2008, at Oakey's North Chapel with Pastor Albin Crutchfield and Pastor Robert L. Alderman officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shenandoah Baptist Church, P.O. 7010, Roanoke, Va. 24019. Arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237. on February 27, 2008.2

He was a loving husband and father. He believed that salvation was by God's grace and His grace alone. He was a member of the Salem Primitive Baptist Church and served as a deacon and trustee for many years. He was also Vice-President of the Floyd County Mutual Fire Insurance Company. Wade was a farmer at heart and a carpenter for most of his life. He was drafted into the U.S. Navy on January 11, 1944 and served until April 16, 1946. He was a Seaman First Class serving on the USS Wisconsin. He was a member of Floyd V.F.W. Post # 7854. He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Will" and Ora Rierson Poff; and a brother, Waynard "Jake" Poff; and a foster sister, Ester Mae Hawkins. Survivors include his wife, Mary Conner Poff; five daughters and their husbands, Judy and C.J. Ravan, Cathy and Elwood Holden, Cindy and Wayne Sutphin, Candy and Charles "Bubba" Creasy, all of Copper Hill, Va., and Vicky and Stewart Childress of Ararat, Va; eleven grandchildren, Joshua, Erin and Jesse Ravan, Chelsa Yoder and Riley Sutphin, Shannon Vivier, Zane and Amber Childress, Courtney, Carla and Mary Creasy; and two great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Richard Janke, Seattle, Wash; one niece, Dawn Grey of Dundee, Ore; and one nephew, Derek Janke, of Edmonds, Wash. His body will rest in the Salem Primitive Baptist Church for viewing from 2 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2004 through the funeral services that will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2004 with Elder Hale Terry and Elder Lane Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery with flag ceremony by Floyd V.F.W. Post # 7854. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall of the church after the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Floyd Rescue Squad or Bent Mountain Rescue Squad, or to the church he loved dearly, Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 7360 Floyd Highway North, Copper Hill, Va. 24079.
