Paul was a retired electrician with 34 years of service for E.I. DuPont's Belle plant. He was a member of Dry Branch Community Church, Charleston, and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Belva Myers Simms; son, Matt (Teresa) Simms of Charleston; daughter, Kathy (Bernard Bailey) Simms of St. Albans; grandchildren, Sara Persinger of Phoenix, Arizona, Zachary Persinger of Charleston, Tara Simms of South Charleston, and Eli Simms and Hannah Simms, both of Charleston; and a great-granddaughter, London Grace. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 18, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Ernest White officiating. The burial will follow the service in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. His family and friends will gather for the visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. on January 16, 2010.2
