     Louis Nicholas Alverides II was born on June 25, 1940 at Bristol, Hartford Co., Connecticut.^4,5 He married Judith Donna "Judy" Holliday, daughter of Albert Nichelson Holliday and Ada Sue Poff, on July 13, 1963 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,6,5,7,3 Louis Nicholas Alverides II died on May 21, 2019 at Franklin, Williamson Co., Tennessee, at age 78.³ He Louis (Lou) Nicholas Alverides II, age 78 of Franklin, TN, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Lou was born and raised in Bristol, CT. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy Holliday Alverides; daughters, Tracy Alverides and Dana (Dale) Wesson; son, Greg (Jana) Alverides; grandchildren, Nicholas (Katherine) Alverides, Chelsea (Justin) Liddle, Samantha and Sabrina Sowell; great-grandchildren, Tristan Liddle and Alexander Alverides; stepmother, Florence Alverides; brother, Carter Alverides; and sister, Florence Alverides Giomblanco. Lou spent 35 years in the airline industry with Allegheny/USAir/USAirways Inc. His posting in Pittsburgh, PA introduced him to The Steelers and following his posting in Lexington, KY to UK Wildcat Basketball. He remained a lifelong avid “Black and Gold” and “Big Blue” fan. Named after his wife’s maiden name, Lou started Holliday Promos, a successful promotional products business in 1982 and it continues to this day. He never met a stranger and offered friendship and support to all he knew. Lou was passionate about God, his family and country. He devoted his time and talents to GraceWorks, The Gideons and his Church. on June 2, 2019.³

Thacker, 77 of Troutville, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005 peacefully at home surrounded by the love and support of her family. Irene was greatly loved by her family, friends and her community. Irene possessed many special talents and has devoted her life to her family, her church, her extended family which has included her many foreign exchange students. Irene has volunteered many years at Camp Bethel and has been a past member of the Troutville Rescue Squad, she is known as a hard worker and loved the outdoors. Her passions were her flower gardens and woodworking with her late husband Earl. She is predeceased by her husband of 40 years Earl L. Thacker (1924 2000), parents, Ernest V. and Clarice H. Conner, brother, Leander Conner and infant sister Ernestine Conner. Irene is survived by her beloved son, Dale Thacker and his wife Judy, step-son Mike Thacker and his wife Connie of N.C; one stepgrandson, one stepgranddaughter, two step-great grandsons and one step-great granddaughter; siblings, Christine Gibson, Mary Howell and her husband, Robert, Riley Conner and his wife, Kathryn, Myrtle Conner and Cassie Lowe; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. Interment Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. on August 13, 2005.¹

     Earl Legar Thacker was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.^2,6 He was born on March 23, 1924 at Roanoke, Virginia.^7,5,8 He married Irene Joyce Conner, daughter of Ernest Vaten Conner and Clarice Cecily Holland, on December 10, 1960 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,3,4 Earl Legar Thacker died on April 24, 2000 at Botetourt Co., Virginia, at age 76.^2,9,8 He THACKER, Earl Legar, 76, of Nace, passed away Monday, April 24, 2000. He was a retired conductor with the N & W Railroad and was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Thacker. He is survived by his wife, Irene Thacker of Nace; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Judy Thacker of Troutville, Mike and Connie Thacker of Macon, N.C., Lynn and Trisha Thacker of Mine Hill, N.J; one daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Gerald Brunner of New Port Richey, Fla; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Faye Thacker of Parrish, Fla; one nephew, Dean Thacker of Vinton; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Interment will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on April 26, 2000.²

During World War II Lee worked with Glen L. Martin Aircraft building airplanes. He retired from construction and carpentry after many years as the owner of Conner Cabinet Shop. He was a member of Garden City Baptist Church and served as a past deacon. He is survived by his wife, Christine Howell Conner; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila C. and Danny W. Noell, Vinton; sons and daugthers-in-law, Kenneth L. and Janice Conner, Goodview, David L. and Paige Conner, Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Andy L. Conner, U.S. Navy, Japan, Christy L. Conner, Troutville, Timmy W. Noell, Salem, Randy L. Noell, Vinton, Matthew D. Conner, Roanoke, Caleb A. Conner, Roanoke, Courtney N. Conner, Goodview; great-grandsons, Joshua L. and Jonathan L. Conner, both of Japan; sisters, Irene C. Thacker, Troutville, Myrtle L. Conner, Nace, Cassie C. Lowe, Nace, Christine C. Gibson, Troutville, Mary C. Howell, Villamont; brother, W. Riley Conner, Cloverdale; several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Burial in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on June 19, 1995.²
