Poff, son of Joseph Andrew Poff and Emily Sumpter, on December 17, 1923.7,3 Mary Ette Siner died on May 12, 1962 at Smithville, Clinton Co., Missouri, at age 80.3,4 She POFF, Mary Siner was born August 16, 1881, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Siner. With her parents she moved to Missouri in early childhood and had lived most of her life in Clinton and Platte Counties. She became a member of the Stony Point Presbyterian Church. She was married December 17, 1923, to William Poff who preceded her in death as also did three sisters: Mrs. Lela Carter, Miss Jessie Siner, and Mrs. Nellie Spun. Mrs. Poff death occurred Saturday, May 12, 1962, in the Community Hospital in Smithville, at the age of 80 years. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Elisabeth Staffers of Alhambra, Calif; Mr. Emilee Schmidt of Oak Ridge, Mo., and a nephew, Ernest Spann of Trimble. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, May 15, in the Methodist Church in Edgerton, Mo., conducted by the Rev. Carl Massie. Burial was in Stony Point Cemetery southwest of Plattsburg. on June 1, 1962.4

She is survived by her son, Jason Maxey and his wife, Sonia; special friends, Teresa Peters and her Pastor, Ken Gray. Services will be announced at a later date. on December 13, 2020.4

Special thanks to Carol Ballard and Carilion Hospice for the care provided to Mary. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park, Salem. on May 8, 2013.3
