     Joan Frances Doss Joan Frances Doss, Apr 2, 1937 – Feb 11, 2024. Joan Frances Doss, age 86, of Mead, West Virginia went home to be with Lord on Sunday, February 11, 2024 following a long illness. Joan was born in Jonben, West Virginia. She was a daughter of the late William D. Doss and the late Lola Terry Doss. Ms. Doss was a loving sister and friend to her oldest sister, Janice Lusk. Joan loved music and played the piano at Mead Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mildred Edwards, Eugene Doss, and Elwyne Doss. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving siblings, Janice Lusk, Elizabeth Doss, Levi Doss, and Douglas Doss; nieces, Lois Howerton, and husband, Larry and Regina Harris; great-nieces, Robin Hardy and husband, James and Brooke Blankenship and husband, Joseph; great-great nephews, Ethan Blankenship, Matthew Hardy, Jonathan Hardy and wife, Katie, Zachary Hardy and wife, Katie Jo; great-great-great nephew, Thomas; great-great-great nieces, Mary-Kate, Anniston, and Macie. He enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his three great-grandsons, He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Willard Lusk; and two sisters, Ora Garretson and Minnie Hundley. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Janice Doss Lusk; two daughters, Lois E. Howerton and husband, Larry, of Beaver, and Regina C. Harris and husband, Mitchell, of Meade; a brother, Wade Lusk of Germany; two granddaughters, Robin Hardy and her husband, James, and Brooke Adams, all of Meade; three great-grandsons, Matthew, Jonathan and Zachary Hardy; and a special sister-in-law, Joan Doss of Meade. Phyllis enjoyed shopping and loved when people came to visit. She spent her whole life taking care of others. Gary enjoyed driving trucks, working on cars, sitting on the porch, and spending time with his sons.
