F, b. April 29, 1937, d. May 16, 2021
Eula Jean Stewart was buried at Palm Memorial Gardens, 9051 Appalachian Highway, Matheny, Wyoming Co., West Virginia.3,2 She Eula J. Stewart Terry, 84, of Matheny gained her Heavenly reward on Sunday, May 16, 2021. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, devoted wife and best friend. She enjoyed a clean house, home cooked meals, a relaxing front porch conversation, and a good cup of coffee. She recently celebrated her 84th birthday surrounded by her family. She was born April 29, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Roy Clayton and Lula Jane Brown Stewart of Jesse and wife to James "Jim" Terry of Matheny. Jim passed away in 1988, and Eula never remarried or even dated. She always said, "Jim Terry was the only man for me. It took me long enough to train him, and I'm too old to train another." She had a sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. She was sweet most days, sassy at times, and stubborn always she was a true Stewart! Eula was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, all her siblings (as she was the last living of 12), and a host of family members and loyal friends from years of service in the community and church. Eula loved to sing in church. She and her sister Susie Cook and cousin Zelda Sullivan spent many weekends ministering in music at various local churches. She passed that love of music onto many of her children and grandchildren. Unfortunately, a diagnosis of Leukemia several years ago slowed down her pace of life, but it didn't stop her from spending endless hours in the Word of God and in prayer. Left to carry on her legacy is one son, James L. Terry and wife Janie Sanders Terry of Elgin, SC three daughters: Karen Terry Belcher and husband David Belcher of Lynco, WV Barbara Terry Osborne and husband Willie Osborne of Matheny, WV and Nikki Terry Lester and husband Eric Lester of Grandview, WV. Eula was a wonderful grandmother to 11 grandkids and their spouses: Nathan (Misty), Luke (Mary) and Jesse (Kassie) Terry, Holly Belcher Morgan (Kevin) and Josh Belcher, Siera and Hannah Osborne and Parker, Eli, Hayden, and Titus Lester. She was also fortunate enough to enjoy time with 5 great-grandchildren: Kaylinn, Brycen, and Holden Morgan and Waylon and Danny Terry. As a mother, she rarely kept sweets in the house as a grandmother she made sure there was a drawer stocked full of candy, a freezer packed with ice cream, and a pantry filled with cakes! She loved to see her grandbabies smile. She is loved by two very special nephews and their families Jerry and his wife Faye Maynard of Florida, and Clayton, who was more like a brother to her, and his wife Jacquelyn, also of Florida. She is also cherished by a niece, Linda Ryan of Ohio, who she enjoyed chatting with on the phone each week. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.2 She was born on April 29, 1937 at Jesse, Wyoming Co., West Virginia.1,3,2 As of July 6, 1957,her married name was Terry.1 She married James Woodrow Terry, son of Charles Lonnie Terry and Lula Ann Plumley, on July 6, 1957 at Oceana, Wyoming Co., West Virginia.1,2,4 Eula Jean Stewart died on May 16, 2021 at West Virginia at age 84.2
