Bobby Gene Vinson Bobby Gene Vinson, 75, of Beach Park, Illinois, passed away on May 9th, 2019 at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan, Illinois. Bobby was born December 8th, 1943 in Red Bay, Alabama to Amon and Ruby (nee Garrison) Vinson. He eventually moved to Waukegan, Illinois and married his sweetheart, Mary, who would go on to spend many wonderful years together. He spent much of his life working at Clark Gas Station, International Harvester for 17 years, and then Hollister Incorporated for over 28 years until he retired. Bobby was an avid Western fan, he loved country music, Ford trucks, animals, and tv shows like Chicago Fire, PD, and Walker Texas Ranger. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary L. Vinson of Beach Park, Illinois; his children, Betty Vinson-Peters (Phillip Peters), Billy (Becky Gillespie), Brian (Shannon) Vinson, and Joshua (Vanessa) Vinson; nine grandchildren, Melisa & Mariah Vinson, Annabella Grace Yabut Vinson, Json Matthew & Ralph Dwayne Yabut Navea, Eveianna, Isabella, Nezariah, and Sebastian Reyes; his sister, Lola Richardson of Tupelo, Mississippi; and his brother, Hershel Vinson of Golden, Mississippi, and Helen Vinson of Golden, Mississippi, and William Durl Vinson of Mooreville, Mississippi. Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Amon Vinson, mother, Ruby Garrison, step-mother, Johnnie Mae Vinson; his sisters, Kathleen Bowden and Janice Tackett, grandparents, Ross & Flossie Vinson; and his uncle, Pascal Vinson.2 He married Mary L. Loretta Mae Rose Loretta Mae "Rose" Gross, 85, of Majestic, KY, passed away on December 28, 2020 at Hazard Regional Medical Center. She was born September 26, 1935 in Big Sandy, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Alfred & Margret "York" Rose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roscoe Lester & second husband, Earl Gross; two brothers, Leonard & Darrell Rose; two sisters, Carol Sue Franklin & Norma Jean Wolford; five nephews, Todd Gilliand, Corey Franklin, Keith Prater, Ricky Rose & DeWayne Rose; and one great-nephew, Austin Bishop. Loretta was a homemaker and attended Faith Christian Church in Phelps. She loved going to church. Loretta walked on faith and was a warrior for the Lord. She was very family oriented and enjoyed cooking, housework, and having big family dinners. Loretta genuinely loved God and her family. Her little dog Gypsy was special to her heart. Those left to honor her memory include three children, Roscoe (Lisa) Lester of Vulcan, WV, Matina (Gary) Prater of Stopover, KY, Rhonda (Tim) Lester of Majestic, KY; three brothers, Clifford (Betty) Rose, Allen Rose, both of Michigan, James (Wanda) Rose of Powelltown, WV; five sisters, Mary G. Rose, three sisters; Norma J. Wolford, Loretta M.Gross, Carol S. Franklin, three brothers; Leonard M. Rose, James A. Rose, Darrell J. Rose, and a host of in laws, nieces and nephews.
