Gerry hosted "Crafty Creations" on WBRA-TV for fifteen years and was well known throughout the Roanoke Valley for her artistic talents. She was Mother of the Year for the Roanoke Valley (Arts and Crafts) in 1986. She used her crafts in Recreational Therapy during her years of employment at the Roanoke Valley Psychiatric Center and later retired from the Mount Regis Center as a Counselor. Mrs. Warren was a longtime member of Rosalind Hills Baptist Church, where she taught the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. She was an active member of B.P.O.E. (Elks) #197 Auxiliary. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Dr. Tom Stocks officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Memorials may be made to the Rosalind Hills Baptist Church Building Fund (2711 Laburnum Avenue, SW, Roanoke, Va. 24015). Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. on March 19, 2003.5

He was a member of the Blue Ridge Chapter of AARP where he served in various offices of the Chapter. He also served in various capacities on the AARP State Legislative branch. He was a faithful member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Barry Blake Johnson at age 10; three sisters, Louise Flora and her husband, Forrest, Florence Booth and her husband, Bill, Beatrice Deel and her husband, Jake. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 67 years, Doris Blake Johnson of Waynesboro; one daughter, Suzanne Johnson Cantrell and her husband, David, of Stuarts Draft, and their children, David J. Cantrell, Samuel E. Cantrell and his wife, Kylie; a son, Glenn L.      Barry Blake Johnson was buried at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, Augusta Co., Virginia.6,4 He was born on August 19, 1952 at Richmond, Virginia.6,2 He died on August 17, 1962 at Charlottesville, Virginia, at age 9.6,3,4 He Barry Blake Johnson, 9, son of Graphet E. and Doris Blake Johnson of Route 2, Waynesboro, died at 11:59 p.m. Friday at the University of Virginia Hospital following cardiac surgery. Barry attended Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church and would have entered the fourth grade of Fishersville Elementary School. He was a member of the Cub Scouts and League the Ladd Boys League. He moved with his family to Wayneshoro four years ago when his father was transferred to the DuPont Co. here. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Glenn Johnson; one sister, Suzanne Johnson; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Johnson of Montvale; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Blake of Scottsville. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday (Aug. 20) in the chapel of the Etter Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Robert S. Crutchfield, assisted by the Rev. Stewart Bridgman. Burial will be in Augusta Memorial Park Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be J. Thurman Hailey, James M. Price, A. Jack Shiflet, Robert A. Wingfield, Leon Klein, and August S. Bailey. on August 19, 1962.4
