She was a longtime resident of Metalton, where she raised her family. A homemaker, she was of the Christian faith. In addition to members of the Terry family, Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, William Sanford Showalter; sons, James Howard, Raymond and Steven Paul Showalter; and a grandson, Rodney Wayne Martin. Mabel is the beloved mother of Kenny Showalter and his wife, Debbie, of Gauley Bridge; Robert Showalter of Beaver; Gary Showalter and his wife, Cathy, and Rebecca Martin and James Sydenstricker, all of Beckley, and Cathy Martin and her husband, Rodney, of Chico, Calif; the dear grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grand children; the fond sister of Greg Terry and his wife, Sandy, of Eccles; Ronnie Terry and his wife, Jane, of Kenova; Harold Terry and his wife, Suzy, of Lima, Ohio; Donald Terry and his wife, Cathy; Billy Dean and Ronald Terry; Willa Mae Kimball and her husband, George “Red,” all of Washington Court House, Ohio; Bessie Bass and her husband, Herbert, of Flat Rock, Mich., and Jessie Cochran of Beckley. Willa Mae Terry Willa Mae Kimball, age 85, of Washington CH, transitioned peacefully from this life on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington CH. She was born on August 29, 1932 in West Virginia to Dewey and Thelma Webb Terry. She had been a housewife for most of her adult life. Willa was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, cooking, and caring for her feline companions. Willa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband for more than sixty years, George Robert Kimball; infant son, Anthony Robert Kimball; and siblings, Bobby, Jimmy, Mabel, Louise, and Jessie. Survivors include her siblings, Donald (Cathy Forsha) Terry, Bill (Roni) Terry, Harold (Sue) Terry, Ronald (Jane) Terry, Gregory (Sandy) Terry, and Bessie Bass; and special nephew, Stephen (Caitlin) Forsha. Also surviving are several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Billy Dean Terry Sr. Billy Dean Terry, Sr., age 87, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024 at his home. He was born on June 27, 1936 in Eccles, West Virginia to the late Dewey and Thelma (Webb) Terry. Billy owned and operated Bill Terry Masonry for most of his life and his handy work can be found all around Fayette County and the surrounding area. He enjoyed playing the scratch lottery tickets, spending time with his family and grandchildren, and he was well known for being an animal lover. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Margaret Louise Terry; grandson, Trent Butcher; and siblings, James “Jimmy” Terry, Bobby Terry, Martha Farmer, Jessie Cochran, Mabel Showalter, and Willamae Kimball; and his “heart dog” Maggie Mae. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Roni Kay (Roberds) Terry, whom he married on January 5, 1991; children, Crystal Butcher, Billy Dean “Pickle”, Jr. (Vicky) Terry, Lonnie Terry, Robert (Joanna) Gordon, Risa (Chris) Price, and Adam Buck; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bessie Bass, Harold (Susie) Terry, Donald (Kathy) Terry, Ronald (Jane) Terry, and Gregory (Sandy) Terry. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.3 He married Margaret Louise Ater.4 Billy Dean Terry Sr. was born on June 27, 1936 at Eccles, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.3,9 He married Roni Kay Roberds on January 5, 1991.3 Billy Dean Terry Sr. died on April 12, 2024 at Washington Court House, Fayette Co., Ohio, at age 87.3

Terry Jr., 322 Broadway St., and Lonnie Eugene Terry, of Good Hope; a daughter, Mrs. Steven (Crystal) Butcher, of Bloomingburg; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Ater, of Good Hope; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Penwell, of 230 Green St; three grandchildren; two brothers, Randy Ater, Good Hope, and Leroy Ater Jr., of Bloomingburg, and a sister, Mrs. John (Connie) Smith, of Good Hope. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery. on October 12, 1977.1
