Edna was a dedicated mother and a hard worker, always placing the needs of her family and friends before her own. She was devoted to the care of her family and sacrificed most of her natural life tending to their needs. She was of the Baptist faith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Rhonald Ray Meador; a son Rhonald "Butch" Meador II, a sister, Billie Jean Pack and a brother in law, Robert Moorefield. Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Penny Meador Smith and her husband Ricky of Swansboro, NC; her brothers, Delmas Peters (Carol) of Wilmington, DE and Samuel Peters (JoAnn) of Cool Ridge; sisters, Frances Roberts (Bill) of Newark, DE, Janie Moorefield of Cool Ridge, Pattie Church Cass (Joe) of Cool Ridge and Elizabeth Burgess (Danny) of Lynchburg, VA; a brother in law, Paul Pack of Bear, DE; two grandchildren, Teresa "Renee" Mitchell of Emerald Isle, NC and Samuel Mitchell of Swansboro, NC. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Chapel, 729 Flat Top Road, Shady Spring, WV with the Rev. Orville Setliff officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Meador Family Cemetery in Pluto, WV. on May 29, 2014.4
