He was in a hunting club, loved fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He loved to mow his yard, was always willing to help friends and neighbors, and to be there for them and he loved each one of them. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Louise McGhee, Mabel Martin, Evelyn Dunford and Dorothy Saul; and his brothers, Lewis Sigmon and Robert Sigmon. Charles is survived by his wife, Gaynell Murdock Sigmon; God-daughter, Mickey Dalton; son, Chris Sigmon; sisters, Mae Naff and Gay Thomas; special niece, Julia Ann Comfort; sister-in-laws, Gracie Sigmon, Lorene Murdock, and Bonnie Murdock; several other nieces and nephews; and his special fur baby, "Marlee".⁴ He was born on December 15, 1951 at Martinsville, Virginia.^1,2,4 He married Gaynell Ruth Murdock on December 23, 1972 at Martinsville, Virginia.^1,4 Charles Wilton Sigmon died on May 10, 2022 at Axton, Henry Co., Virginia, at age 70.⁴
