She is survived by two sons, George Tillman Riddle and wife, Gay Nabors Riddle, and John W. Riddle III and wife, Carol Sue White Riddle; grandsons are John W. Riddle IV and James Tillman Riddle; granddaughters are Cris Noel Riddle Newberry; one great-granddaughter, Jessica Lyn Riddle, daughter of James Tillman and Mary Pruett Riddle of Franklin County, Va; special niece, Addie Lee Edwards Haynes and husband, Wilson Haynes, and their son the Rev. Kevin Haynes and wife, Beth of Stanley, Va; and many beloved nephews and nieces. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Mausoleum and entombment will follow with the Rev. Allen Hammond of Bluefield Union Mission presiding. The family will receive friends at 629 Pearl Street, Bluefield after the graveside service. She has requested that memorials be made to Bluefield Union Mission in preference to flowers. Mercer Funeral Home and Crematory of Bluefield is in charge of arrangements.

He is also survived by his former wife, Irene Moran . Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Salem Funeral Home, with Dr. Thomas Cribb officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was married to Phillip Lawson for 51 years, he passed away April 14, 1986. She married Robert Metzler in June of 1988, he passed away in August of 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Bernice Poff and Sarah Elizabeth Barnett Poff; sister, Louise Grissom; daughters, Patricia Anne Pritchard and Eva June Becker. Her survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Donald P. Lawson and Barbara, Fredrick W. Lawson and Debbie; daughter and son-in-law, Bettye L. Metzler and Bob; stepsons, R.E. Metzler, Jr. and Tom Metzler; grandchildren, Teresa, Matthew, Adam, Kristi, Traci, Richard, Susie, Billie Jo, Tucker "Tom", Jimmy, Stephen, Gary and Debra Anne; stepgrandchildren, Michael, Robert, Elizabeth, Tammy, Kim, Karen and Mark; several great, and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. The Rev. Frank W. Feather will officiate. Interment to follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. on March 18, 2005.¹
