She retired with over 40 years of service from Credit Marketing and Management Association and was a career member of CWI Credit Professionals. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Leonard Oakley Howard; and her parents, Millard and Ruby Poff. She is survived by her oldest son and caregiver, Larry Howard; her sons and daughters-in-laws, Kelly and Lisa Howard, and Tony and Ronda Howard; grandchildren, Tara Howard, Cris and Casey Howard, Michael Watson, Zack and Jessica Watson, and Amanda Watson; greatgrandchildren, Isaac and Caleb Howard, Briona and Michael Watson, and Matthew Kirby; brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy and Shirley Poff, Carl and Odessa Poff, Junior and Frances Poff, and Roger and Emma Poff; sisters and brothers-in-law, Josephine Thomas, and Frances and James Sowers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m Tuesday, February 6, 1996 in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Chapel, Salem with the Rev. Ronald King officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. on February 4, 1996.¹

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Tracy Poff and wife, Joni, Tony Loop and wife, Jeanette, and Trudy Wills and husband, Michael; brother, Robert W. Poff; sister, Betty Low Whitt and husband, Fred; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. on January 5, 2010.²
