He had been ill two weeks with an abdominal disorder. His home was at 1407 East Foster street. The deceased was born March 16, 1885, near Greentown, the son of Elisha and Viretta Weaver. Surviving are the widow, Alma; two brothers, Charles Weaver, Warren Route 2, and the Rev. John Weaver, living in Kansas; and four step-children, Mrs. Ona Hunt of Kokomo, Mrs. Helen Baim of Harrisburg, Pa., Homer Lamb of Bluffton, and Gene Lamb of California. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Ellers funeral chapel with the Rev. Everett Nixon officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn cemetery, Greentown. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Saturday. on August 6, 1948.4

"Andy" Stephens died on August 1, 1956 at Greentown, Howard Co., Indiana, at age 89.6 He GREENTOWN — Andy J. Stephens, 89, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday at his home on Greentown R. R. 1 after a lingering illness. Mr. Stephens was born Feb 3, 1867, in Guy, Ind., the son of Lewis and Nancy (Crousore) Stephens. He was married Sept. 20, 1899, to Rosa Overman, who died April 16, 1955. Most of his life was spent near Phlox, Ind. The deceased was a blacksmith by trade and a member of the Separate Baptist Church at Phlox. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lida McQuiston, of Kokomo; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Murray, of Warren, Ind., Mrs. Debbie Anderson, of Kokomo, and Mrs. Rhoda Bragg, of Marion; two brothers, Estell Stephens, of Marion, and Oren Stephens, of Center, Ind; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Separate Baptist Church at Phlox with the Rev. Harry Case officiating. Burial will be in Forks of the Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mast and Pickett Funeral Home in Greentown after 1 p.m. Thursday. on August 2, 1956.6

Lamb, 83, a resident of Phlox, died at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday in the St. Joseph Hospital, following a cerebral hemorrhage suffered last Saturday morning. Mrs. Lamb was born in Howard County and had lived in this area all her life. She was the daughter of Lewis and Nancy Stephens. In 1892 she married Frank Lamb who died Oct. 17, 1946. Surviving are six children: Mrs. Roscoe Hinkle and Mrs. Elgie Gillam, Kokomo; Mrs. Eddie Packard, Marion; Fay Lamb, Greentown, Ben Lamb, Denver and Fred Underriner, son of a former marriage, whose address is unknown. Two children, Dulcie and Hollis, are deceased. She leaves also three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Rhoda Bragg, Herbst; Mrs. Cora Murray, Warren; Mrs. Debbie Anderson, Kokomo; Andy Stephens, Greentown; Oren Stephens, Center and Estle Stephens, Marion. There are ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Mast & Pickett Funeral Home, Greentown. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the New Hope Friends Church at Phlox of which Mrs. Lamb was a member. Interment will be in the Ellis Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Thursday to lie in state until the hour of the service. on August 19, 1952.4 She died on August 19, 1952 at Kokomo, Howard Co., Indiana, at age 84.4

She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Dilla Wiley of Jonesboro and Mrs. Dora Drake of Oklahoma City, Okla., 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Ellers funeral home where friends may call after 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Services will be held in the Ellers chapel at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in the Albright cemetery. on September 10, 1946.4

Surviving besides the mother who lives in Phlox are three sisters, Mrs. Roscoe Hinkle of Kokomo, Mrs. Eddie Packard of Marion, and Mrs. Elgie Gilliam of Greentown, and two brothers, Fay Lamb of Greentown and Ben Lamb of Denver, Ind., and a half-brother, Fred Underriner. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at New Hope church at Phlox, followed by burial in Ellis cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Greentown American Legion. The body will be removed from the Mast and Pickett funeral home in Greentown to the home of the mother north of Phlox where friends may call after noon. on July 3, 1947.2

Carlile was born Sept. 24, 1889, in Howard county, the daughter of Jacob and Flora Stephens. She was married to Henry Carlile in April 1906 and he preceded her in death in December 1956. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Wesleyan Methodist church. Survivors include three sons, Roscoe of Sharpsville route 2; Robert and Francis of Kokomo route 5; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothy) Graf of Greentown route 1; Mrs. Earl (Bernice) Robertson of Galveston; a sister, Mrs. Linda Aikman of LaPorte; three brothers, Leo Stephens of Tipton; John Stephens of Elwood; Herman Stephens of Warren, Indiana; 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. on April 11, 1961.4
