Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Celosia Ann Johnston, of Narrows; a son, Charles Edward Johnston Jr. and wife, Kendra, of Princeton, W.Va; a stepson, who was more like a son, Robert Doran Rucker and wife, Kelly, of Narrows; a stepson, Garland Hammond Rucker, of Ironto; two daughters, Sally Jean Good and husband, Nelson, of Chester, Va., and Sarah Virginia Blackwell and husband, Doug, of Yankton, S.D; a granddaughter, who was raised by him, Alexis Dakota Wilson, of Narrows; three stepdaughters, Deborah Blankenship and husband, Sammy, of Narrows, Sharon Lowery and husband, Bill, of Narrows, and Paula Annette Rucker, of Waiteville, W.Va; 14 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, David Johnston and wife, Mary Ellen, of Narrows; three sisters, Martha Jane Aliff, of Oak Hill, W.Va., Mary Lee Tabor and husband, Jim, of Narrows, and Josephine Blaker, of Narrows; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many special friends, especially his second family at the Narrows Volunteer Fire Department. on January 7, 2011.3

Ole Man Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father William R. Lambert and his two brothers William Dean Lambert and Reece Terry Lambert. Surviving are his mother Fran C. Lambert, sisters Lenora J. Campbell and Billie Jean Robertson and his two children David Randolph Lambert Jr. (Amber) and Amanda Dawn St.Clair (Adam), five grandchildren Zachary, Destiny, Eric, Allison and Skylar along with many aunts, uncles and friends. Graveside service will be held in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on April 7, 2020.4

He is the son of Loyd R. Padgett Sr. and Viola Falls Padgett. He is survived by four children, Candice P. Jones and husband, Jason, Ty Padgett, Shana Padgett, and Sierra Padgett; and one grandson, James Waylon Jones. A message of love sent from heaven to two expectant grandchildren due in September and November. Dana is also survived by three brothers, L. Richard Padgett Jr., Douglas S. Padgett, and Dirk B. Padgett; and one sister, Tamara Padgett Nelson. Dana was born in Roanoke and graduated from William Fleming High School in 1975. He was a sports enthusiast and an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed coaching for the North Roanoke Recreation Club for over 10 years. Special thanks to Amanda Padgett, Dana's friend and caregiver. Dana was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all.      Elizabeth Marie Marrs Elizabeth Marie Conner, 65, of Blue Rock Circle, Princeton, WV passed away in her home on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 after living with poor health over the past several years. Born May 3, 1948, in Bluefield she was the daughter of the late Bud Cecil and Thelma May McFarland Marrs. She worked in the medical field as a LPN with Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton Health Care Center, Glenwood Retirement and Mountaineer Home Nursing of Princeton. She also did private nursing. Marie also, loved cooking, baking and candy making and was very pleased that her family enjoyed her homemade goodies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Cecil Marrs.
