C.E. "Bobby" Cook, 27, of Ravencliff was shot with a 30.06 rifle "eight or nine days ago" at the home of Claude Perry, according to a spokesman for the Wyoming County Sheriff's Department Records indicate the shooting occurred Oct. 15, a Magistrate Court clerk said. Perry was originally charged with malicious wounding and released on bond. After Cook's death, the spokesman said, the charge was upgraded to murder. Perry is now being held in the Wyoming County Jail. Cook was a self-employed construction worker. Surviving: son, Gene of Minden; daughter, Carley of Ravencliff; mother, Ruby M. Joe was a master gardener taking pride in his ability to raise flowers and vegetables to sell at the Farmer's Market in Princeton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby "Margaret" Skeens Terry on Oct. 3, 1978; two sisters, Aileen Sprinkle and Martha Fitzwater; three brothers, Woodrow Terry, Charlie Terry and George "Phil" Terry; and a half brother, Mack Hudson. Survivors include three sons, Bobby Joe Terry, Jimmy Terry, and Bobby Wayne Terry all of Princeton; five daughters, Rita Terry of the home, Peggy Terry of Kentucky, Holly Roark of Princeton, Candy Terry of Oakvale and April Terry of Kentucky; 13 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
