James Howard Belcher I James Howard Belcher, I, 69, of Highland Lane, Bastian, VA, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond, VA. Born on November 30, 1946 in Hemphill, he was a son of the late James P. and Ella Cox Belcher. He had lived in Bastian for 30 years and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a veteran of the US Marines and was retired from the US Postal Service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Belcher. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Kish Belcher of the home; daughter, Angela Renee Lindblad and Paul of Ruckersville, V; sons, Joshua Belcher and wife Crystal of Bastian, VA, and James Belcher, II of Christiansburg, VA; 5 grandchildren, Elijah, Carter, Savannah, Lilygrace, and Shaine; brother, Clarence Belcher of Welch; and sister, Linda High of Virginia Beach, VA. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Military honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.2 He was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.2 He was born on November 30, 1946 at Hemphill, McDowell Co., West Virginia.2 He married Marsha Ann Kish on October 15, 1965 at Lebanon, Russell Co., Virginia.2,3 James Howard Belcher I died on July 23, 2016 at Richmond, Virginia, at age 69.2

Clarence Wayne Belcher Clarence Wayne Belcher, 69, of Kimball, WV, passed away, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his residence. He was a Firefighter for Welch and McDowell County for fifty one years. He was a retired school bus driver for the McDowell County Board of Education. Born on March 20, 1948, in Hemphill, WV, he was the son of the late James Paris Belcher (1918-1973) and Ella Mae Cox-Belcher-High (1924-2010). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, James Belcher (Deceased) and Joe Belcher (Deceased); and his stepfather, Tommy High. Survivors include, two sons, Andy Belcher, of Kimball, WV, Shawn Belcher and wife Bethany Belcher of Kimball WV; grandchildren, Kalen Adkins of Welch WV, Tiffani Belcher, of Welch WV, Derrick John of Kimball, WV, Sophia Belcher of Kimball WV; one sister, Linda Belcher-High of OH; sister-in-law, Marsha Belcher of VA; his first wife, Nancy Belcher of Kimball WV; special nieces and nephews and a host of friends.2 He and Nancy K. Wyatt were divorced.2 Clarence Wayne Belcher was born on March 20, 1948 at Hemphill, McDowell Co., West Virginia.2,3 He married Nancy K. Wyatt on October 2, 1971 at Lebanon, Russell Co., Virginia.3 Clarence Wayne Belcher married Barbara Jean Milam on February 11, 2005 at Buchanan Co., Virginia.3 Clarence Wayne Belcher died on January 27, 2018 at Kimball, McDowell Co., West Virginia, at age 69.2

Survivors include his father, Ray Cox and wife Shelby of Davy; his wife, Dianne Christian Cox of Coalwood; one daughter, Tiffany Lynn Cox and one son, Zachary Allan Cox, both of the home; two brothers, Ray Cox Jr. and wife Judy of Greenville, N.C. and Roger Cox of Davy; one sister, Becky Cox Sizemore and husband Robert of Maulden, S.C; several nieces and nephews. Burial will follow at Hatfield Cemetery at Buckeye Hollow near Three Forks. Pallbearers will be Jerry Jordan, Justin Porterfield, Jeff Pittman, Tom Fuller, Terry Richardson, Markus Kendricks, Damon Brigham and Ray McPeak. on May 7, 2006.3

Roger G. Cox Roger G. Cox, 57, of Davy, passed away, Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Welch Community Hospital. Roger spent his career dedicated to EMS, caring for the people of McDowell County, WV. He worked as an EMT for McDowell County Ambulance Authority. He served as a firemen, EMT and was the previous Fire Chief for Davy Volunteer Fire Department. Roger retired as an Emergency 911 Dispatcher from the McDowell County 911 Center. Born January 13, 1963 in Welch WV, he was the son of the late Ray Cox Sr. and Ruth "Joyce" Barnett Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Cox. He is survived by a sister, Rebecca Cox Sizemore; a brother, Ray Cox Jr., both of Greenville, SC; his nieces, Crystal of SC and Tiffany of PA; nephews, Robert of Greeneville, SC, Zachary and Adam, both of WV; four great nieces, Kyra, Lily, Sophie and Zoey of SC; a great nephew, Conner of SC; close friends Pete Bignotti of FL and Melissa Perry of Asco; his caretaker, Fay Sneed, along with numerous other friends and family who cared for him deeply.3 He was born on January 13, 1963 at McDowell Co., West Virginia.3 He died on June 20, 2020 at Welch, McDowell Co., West Virginia, at age 57.3
