He retired from DuPont, where he worked as a mechanic for more than 35 years. Lancaster was a musician and played six instruments in his 30 years as a member of the Spiritualairs Quartet. Surviving are a son, Gil Stevens Lancaster of Collinsville; and a step-grandchild. on June 13, 2010.¹
