He had been a resident of Slab Fork for the past 20 years and an employee of the Slab Fork Coal company. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cecilia Niday, three sons, George B. Niday and M. K. Niday, both of Stotesbury, and H. B. Niday of Slab Fork; a daughter, Mrs. Vera St. Clair, also of Slab Fork; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body will be removed from the Williams Funeral home to the residence today at 5 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the residence Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Bob Sanger officiating. Burial will follow in the Slab Fork cemetery. on September 9, 1949.5

A retired insurance man, he was vice-president and director of the Farmers and Merchants Bank here. Prior to entering business in 1927, Craft taught in Roanoke schools. Craft, who was an alumnus of Roanoke College was assistant principal at Lee Junior High School from 1919 to 1921 when he became principal of Jackson Junior High School. In 1927, he entered private business and entered the insurance business in 1932. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eloise Greever Craft, New Castle; three brothers, Edward B. Craft, Roanoke, Glenwood Craft, New Castle, Z.F. Craft, Superior, Wisconsin. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in New Castle Methodist Church with burial in Sherwood. The body will be taken to the church from Boitnott Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. on January 11, 1965.3
