She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Edward Wagner Sr. in 1967, and one daughter. Survivors include three sons, Floyd E. Wagner Jr. of Richmond, Va., Dennis Randolph Wagner of Pocahontas, Va., and J. B. Wagner of Bluefield; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Davidson of Bluefield; one brother, Johnson Conner of Baton Rouge, La; one sister, Mrs. Sally Draper of Staunton, Va; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery on the Bluefield-Princeton Road. Pallbearers are W. A. Shutt, Russell Garrett, A. O. Bishop, Raymond Martin, E. L. Head, Charlie Ferrell, Zigmont Rangeo, Wayne Wright. Honorary pallbearers are C. H. White, Ed Dillow, D. C. Tabor, Vernum Yost, George Hedrick, Thurman Bolen. on May 2, 1974.2

     Thomas Monroe Pearman was buried at White Cemetery (also known as Crockett Cemetery), Rt. 637, near Rt. 11, Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia; His gravestone reads "ENS Fighter Squadron."1 He was born on October 18, 1920 at West Virginia.1,2 He died on May 21, 1943 at Alameda, Alameda Co., California, at age 22.1,2,3 He Ensign Thomas Monroe Pearman was killed in an airplane accident at Alameda Calif., May 21, according to advices to his mother, Mrs. E. W. Pearman, here. The body is being brought to Shawsville by a naval escort. A graduate of Shawsville high school and student at Roanoke college two years, he enlisted as a naval aviation cadet Oct 18, 1941, the day he was 21 and was graduated from the Pensacola training station last Feb. 2, served aboard a carrier in the Alantic until recently when he moved to the Pacific coast. Surviving Ensign Pearman besides liis mother are the following brothers and sisters: Private John W. Pearman of Camp Lee, Elbert Wilson Pearman, Jr., James Ellwood Pearman and Mrs. Fred Wills of Shawsville and Mrs. E. B. Gibson, Pocahontas. Mr. Pearman has been dead for several years. The navy in announcing Ensign Pearman's death said he died in the crash of his plane after two ships collided over Livermore, Calif. The pilot of the other plane the navy announcement said, parachuted safely. on May 25, 1943.3

Mr. Wills served as an attorney for the Bank of Shawsville, was a member of the Craighill Lodge No. 160 AF & AM in Elliston, the Kazim Shrine Temple in Roanoke, the Shawsville Ruritan Club, and the White Memorial United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the original Board of Directors of Meadowbrook, Inc. and continued as a member of that board until his death. Surviving are his wife, Merle Pearman Wills; one daughter, Patricia W. Dillon, Salem; a grandson, J. Michael Surface, Augusta, Ga; and one granddaughter, Katheryn E. Surface, Charlottesville. Interment will follow in the White Memorial Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites conducted by Craighill Lodge No. 160 AF & AM. on November 29, 1985.6
