He was born May 13, 1956. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Leonard O., Sr. and Mary Cox. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Ethlene and Milton Duncan; sisters, Virginia Pinson, Sheila (Russell) Janney; loving soul mate , Janie Weddle; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.      Iris Gwinn King was buried at Stonewall Cemetery, 4382 Route 221 N, Floyd Co., Virginia.^4,5 She was born on January 27, 1929 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,10,2,4,5 As of July 5, 1947,her married name was Radford.³ She married James Alvin Radford on July 5, 1947 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^3,4 Iris Gwinn King and James Alvin Radford were divorced on December 17, 1953 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹¹ Iris Gwinn King married Charles Samuel "Sam" Angle, son of John Fay Angle Sr. and Leo Mae Janney, on January 24, 1959 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^{1,3,10,6,2,4,5} As of January 24, 1959,her married name was Angle. Iris Gwinn King died on May 11, 2021 at Virginia at age 92.^4,5 She Iris Gwinn King Radford Angle, 92, of Radford, Va., made her journey to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was born in Floyd County on January 27, 1929 to the late Wallace C. and Pauline Akers King. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Alvin Radford; her second husband, Charles S. "Sam" Angle; a son, Terry Joe Angle; brothers, Earl King and Lane Wimmer; and sisters, Audrey Brown and Mary Ann Peters. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (David) Muhly; sons, Rodney (Patti) Radford and Kelly (Susan) Angle; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Sid Wimmer, Richard Wimmer, and John King; sister, Sarah Quesenberry; numerous other family and friends; two special neighbors, Daniel and Mary Buckner; and companions, Leona Thompson and Jean Wright. She was a long-time member of Belview United Methodist Church, loved her flowers, gardening, flea markets, Goodwill, collectibles, board games, cards, and Bingo, had a unique sense of humor, enjoyed taking care of and giving to others, and most of all was proud of her family. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Stonewall Cemetery in Floyd. on May 14, 2021.⁴

Sowers was buried at Wilson Cemetery, Daniel's Run Road (Rt. 661), Locust Grove, Floyd Co., Virginia.^2,5 He was born on April 29, 1913 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,2,4,3,5 He married Elva Irene Clower, daughter of Albert Frank Clower and Imogene King, on December 24, 1936 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^4,1,7 Wayne E. Sowers died on December 30, 1981 at age 68.^1,2,3,5

     Elva Irene Clower was buried at Wilson Cemetery, Daniel's Run Road (Rt. 661), Locust Grove, Floyd Co., Virginia.⁵ She was born on February 5, 1916 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,6,3,2 She married Wayne E. Sowers, son of Fitzhugh Lee "Fitz" Sowers and Ruby Alvie Howery, on December 24, 1936 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^3,1,5 As of December 24, 1936,her married name was Sowers. Elva Irene Clower died on June 27, 2011 at Virginia at age 95.⁵ She Elva Clower Sowers, 95, of Floyd, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011. She was preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters; and her husband, Wayne E. Sowers. She is survived by her sister, Gladys Conner, of Floyd; two sisters-in-law, Glada Hale and Vera Sowers, both of Roanoke; and nephews and nieces including Patricia Altizer, of Floyd, who has seen to her care during her declining health. For many years Elva and Wayne tended their Floyd County farm while also working other jobs. Elva was employed by Donkenny Garment Factory where she took great pride in her work as a seamstress. At home she was meticulous in the care of her house, lawn and garden. After Wayne's death in 1981, she continued living on the farm until 1995 when she sold the farm and followed her sisters who had moved closer to town. After moving to Tise Street in Floyd, she was always busy in her house and yard. On Sundays she attended church at Camp Bethel United Methodist Church where she was an active member. Elva loved telling funny stories or jokes that she had read or heard. She also liked to entertain her guests by playing the old pump organ and singing for them. She always wanted to be neighborly and to help others who were less fortunate or needy. Visitation will be held at Gardner's Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011. The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Richard Mullan and the Rev. Elbert Naff in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011, with the burial to follow at Wilson Cemetery in Check.      Terry Joe Angle was born on March 8, 1965.^5,1 He died on September 13, 2017 at Virginia at age 52.³ He Terry Joe Angle, 52, of Radford, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles S. Angle. Terry is survived by his mother, Gwinn K. Angle; sister, Donna and David Muhly; brothers, Kelly and Susan Angle and Rodney and Patti Radford; as well as several nieces and nephews.      His Social Security Number was 227-60-9995.⁴ Roy Maynard Greene was buried at Monte Vista Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 25 Wades Gap Road, Callaway, Franklin Co., Virginia.² He was born on June 24, 1943 at Virginia; The SSDI has a birth date of Jun 24, 1944.^4,2,1 He married Patricia Ann "Pat" Mannon on July 26, 1968 at Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ Roy Maynard Greene and Patricia Ann "Pat" Mannon were divorced before August 6, 1994.⁵ Roy Maynard Greene died on August 19, 2008 at Virginia at age 65.^4,2 He Roy Maynard Greene, 65, of Floyd, Va., passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2008. He was born on June 24, 1943. He was preceded in death by daughters, Noami Kaye Greene and Baby Sissy; father, Ernest Greene; mother, Dessie Dickerson; and brother, Harold Greene. Survivors include his daughters, Norma Jean Hale and Jeff Morris, and Kathy Hale and husband, Amos Hale; grandson, Timothy Lee Hale "Timmy;" granddaughters, Danielle Renee Morris, Amanda Dawn Hale, Heather Lynn Morris and Samantha Ann Hale; two brothers; one sister; and special friend, Claudine Vaughn. Interment will be at Monte Vista Cemetery in Callaway, Va. on August 21, 2008.²

     Dessie Mae Sloan married Earnest Maynard Greene. Dessie Mae Sloan was buried at Monte Vista Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 25 Wades Gap Road, Callaway, Franklin Co., Virginia.² Her married name was Greene. She was born circa 1921.² She died on February 23, 2005 at Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia.² She Dessie Slone Green Dickerson, 84, of Floyd, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Skyline Manor Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Vinnie Slone. She was also preceded in death by her son, Harold Green. Survivors include her sons, Roy Green, James Green, and David Green and wife, Betty; one daughter, Mrs. Franklin (Gladys) Nichols; daughter-in-law, Eloise Green; special friend, Lee Allen; one brother, Thomas Odell Slone; four sisters, Sadie Yopp, Daisy Thomas, Mazie Hicks, and Juanita Whitaker. 15 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Roy Turpin and Pastor Charles Spencer officiating. Interment will be in the Monte Vista Cemetery in Callaway, Va.
