The family extends special thanks to Karen Gasik and Martha Ewald of Carilion Hospice for all their help and support. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Carilion Hospice Services of New River Valley, 111 West Main Street, Christiansburg, Va. 24073. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2000 at 12 noon at the Lotz Salem Chapel with Andrew Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lotz Funeral Chapel. on April 24, 2000.2

Sally L. Dora Whorley Sally Whorley Poff, 97 of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2016. She was born in Saltville, Virginia to Meadow Z. and Inez J. Whorley, at a young age she moved to Monroe County, West Virginia, where they grew up on the family farm. She was drawn to Salem, VA through family where she met her husband, Roy G. Poff, upon his return from World War II. She loved her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was an accomplished Seamstress, sewing for Lynn Rene Bridal Shop and making costumes for Floyd Ward Dance Studios. In her senior years she loved doing crafts and growing exotic plants. She was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church in Salem. She never missed a family reunion at Moncove Lake State Park in West Virginia. She was always ready to go. She will be remembered as Sally Ride, Sally Jane, S.J., Long Tall Sally, and Mustang Sally. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy G. Poff, parents, Meadow Z. and Inez J. Whorley; sister, Hattie W. Burton; brothers, William T. Worley, James L. Whorley, Elonza Whorley, and Marvin J. Whorley. Surviving to cherish her memory: Sons, Ronald L. Poff and wife Debbie, Ricky G. Poff and wife Lesley, and Jeffery L. Poff and wife Wanda; Daughter, Teresa P. Ballard and husband Donald; Grandchildren, Kelley Reese, Sherry Reichow, Brent Poff, Brandon Poff, Amanda Scearce, and Eric Poff; 15 Great Grandchildren; Sister in law, Ruth Poff; and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Ruth Cruff Poff; son, Benjie, his wife, Trisha, and their seven children, Corey, Jake, Emma, Luke, Ella, Elisabeth and Claire of Edgewood, N.M; son, David of Lynchburg, Va; daughter, Sheila Brackens, her husband, Russ, and their three children, Ashley, Lindsey and Samuel, of Memphis, Tenn; and daughter, Terri Meckes, her husband Bryan, and their three children, David, Pili, and Adie, of Shippensburg, Pa., and one sister, Stella Wertz. Ralph retired from Roanoke Gas Company in 1995 with over 35 years of service. He was an active member of Valley Christian Church in Fincastle, Va., and a member of the Keenagers Club of Fincastle. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. on June 16, 2009.1

Calvin Houston "Daddy" Williams Sr. was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.2 He was born on August 1, 1925 at Giles Co., Virginia.2,3,7,4,5 He married Florence Aileen Poff, daughter of Tonzie Royoo Poff and Ruth Elizabeth Young, on October 17, 1945 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.8,1,3 Calvin Houston "Daddy" Williams Sr. died on November 4, 2011 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 86.2,7,6 He Calvin (Houston) Williams, Sr., 86, of Salem, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011, and has gone to join his wife of 60 years, Florence and daughter Lalia (Lee) Cox. He is survived by his loving family: sons and spouses, Calvin H., Jr., "CH" and Barbara Williams, J.D. and Cindy Williams, Gary and Jean Williams, Eddie and Elaine Williams, and Randy and Lisa Williams; daughter and spouse, Rowena and Terry Epperly.
