Her love of her family was only exceeded by the love of her Lord. Her husband, James A. Yearout, her parents, Samuel and Pearly Board Poff, her grandson, Gary "Lee" Yearout, Jr., and a sister, Virginia James, preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons and spouses, Gary and Sue Yearout, Kenneth and Kathy Yearout, Richard and Sara Yearout, Ronald and Brenda Yearout; daughters and spouses, Dorothy and Walter Short, Carolyn and Roger Horsley; sisters, Joyce Sledd, Adelene Nichols; six grandsons; two granddaughters, seven greatgrandchildren; two special caregivers, Gladys and Alice. Services will be at Oakey's North Chapel on Peters Creek Road (362-1237) at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006. Pastor Earl Clemons will officiate. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Floyd County. Family and relatives may call at Oakey's North Chapel from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday. The family would like to thank the staff at Springtree Rehab. Center for their care and concern for Anna Belle. In lieu of flowers, family asks donations be made to the American Heart Association.

She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Steve & Grace Janney and Robert & Sherrie Janney; daughter & son-in-law, Anita & Butch Goad; grandchildren, Darin & Ashleigh Goad, Stephanie & George Hairston, Lindsey & Alex Poff, Logan Janney, Austin & Grace Janney, and Ava Janney; brothers & sisters-in-law, Austin & Gaye Harman and Harry & Hazel Harman; sister, Elnora Markle & the late Robert Markle; and several nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in the Vest Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lois Hubbard, Brenda Hale, Tammy Rutrough, and Sherrie Janney who made it possible for Evelyn to remain comfortably at home.3 She was buried at Vest Cemetery, 432 Cypress Drive SE, Floyd Co., Virginia.3 She was born on November 19, 1938 at Floyd Co., Virginia.4 She married Chester Elwood Janney, son of Luther Janney and Lelia Ellen Artie "Mincie" West, on June 28, 1958 at Floyd Co., Virginia.1,2,3 As of June 28, 1958,her married name was Janney. Evelyn Mae Harman died on December 17, 2023 at Virginia at age 85.3
