He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Helen Radford Perkins of Narrows; one daughter, Jo Ann Evans of Lindside; three sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Rhonda Perkins of Narrows, Mark and DeAnna Perkins of Pearisburg, Va., Michael and Patty Perkins of Union, S.C; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Carol Alderman of Connelly Springs, N.C., and Elden and Darlene Alderman of Hildebran, N.C; two sisters, Virginia Waddell and husband "Doc" of Baltimore, Md., and Marie Andrews of Sparta, N.C; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
