He was born in Ballard, West Virginia on June 21, 1936. He joined the US Navy after graduating from Peterstown High School in 1953. While stationed in Naples, Italy, he met and married the love of his life. Eddie was the most exemplary patriarch of his family that adored her more than words. He is survived by his dear wife of 61 years, Maria Maresca Poff, his four children David (Teresa), their children, Jacquelyn Stack (Joey), James Poff (Ashley), and Jordan Poff; Daniel (Sandy) and his four children Jason (Katie), Lacey (Taylor), Jamie (Brent) and Chase; Adam Poff and Francesca Curry (Rob), their children, Adam and Madison; his sister, Lana Lester Baird, six great grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by his loyal bulldog companion, Prada. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Add, his sisters, Frances Vaught and Shirley Vance and his brother Clarence "Bud" Poff. Eddie's family was his absolute pride and joy, he loved being "Daddad". He poured his heart and soul into his loved ones and every encounter with him left you with a smile, a soft heart and an ear full of the best life stories. He was a regular for coffee at the Westport Road McDonald's solving the world's problems for more than 40 years. Everyone Eddie met found a life long friend. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was so proud to serve his country in the United States Navy, retiring as a recruiter. He owned Poff & Sons Exxon, Marathon and Body Shop and served as a JNROTC teacher for Valley Station and Butler High School. His second retirement was from Luther Luckett Reformatory as a Sergeant. He was a father to few but a dad to many. A funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, "in St. Matthews" with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. on August 23, 2019.5

Born August 19, 1927 in New Boston, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Augustus Poff and Josie Mae Meador. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Warner A. Felix; her brothers, Roy and Howard Poff and her daughter-in-law, Laveda Felix. Lorraine was a devout Christian and was most recently a member of the Living Waters Church in West Huntington. She was a beloved mother and devoted wife to her husband of 65 years, Warner. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Warner Felix of Huntington; her children, Carolyn L. (Frank) Mains of Westborough Massachusetts, Ronald E. (Tanya) Felix of Huntington, Lisa M. (George Richardson) Felix of Miami, FL, and Randy S. Pack, 47, of Coolridge who died Sunday afternoon in local hospital. He was a veteran of the first World War and a member of the Moose Lodge 1608. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mollie Pack; two sisters, Mrs. Roland Jones, Beckley; and Mrs. J. R. Murphy, of Toledo, Ohio; one brother, Grover Pack, of Beckley six children, Virginia, Mildred, Jack, Grover, Charles, and Hubert, all of Coolridge. The body remained in state at the Keyser Funeral home until the hour of the services when it was removed to the church. Following the services, burial took place in the Coolridge cemetery. (He was apparently reburied in River Hill Memorial Park) on January 26, 1943.7

Artificial respiration was applied for half an hour before McGraw was officially pronounced dead. Callaghan said the man had gone to his boarding house to clean up after work with a railroad construction crew. Friends said he planned to spend the night at the home of a sister in Hinton. Born at True, May 23, 1913, a son of Mrs. Minnie Poff McGraw, and the late John Wiley McGraw, he had spent his entire life in and around Hinton, as a construction worker on various jobs. At the time of his death he was employed as a bulldozer operator on a road out of Gauley Bridge. A veteran of World War II, he spent two years with the Seabees in the Pacific theatre as a construction worker. He is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Rae of Elgood; his mother, Mrs. Minnie McGraw, of Athens; three brothers, Aleck and John McGraw, of Pulaski, and Ernest McGraw, of True; four sisters, Mrs. B. G. Meadows, of Hinton; Mrs. Luther Craif, of Athens; Mrs. Lee Cook, of Beckley; and Mrs. Paul Huffman, of Beaver; and two half sisters, Mrs. Frank James, of True, and Mrs. John Kauff, of Crow. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the James Chapel church at True, and burial will follow at the family cemetery near True. The body was brought to the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton. on November 15, 1948.7

Survived by one daughter, Gloria Lilly of Brooks; three sosn, Ernest Lee McGraw of Shady Spring, Benny McGraw of Courtland, OH and Charles McGraw of Edinboro, PA; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial followed in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. on December 28, 2010.3
