Also surviving is a brother, Samuel Richard Poff and his wife, Eileen, of Terre Haute; three sisters, Mary Lansaw and Charlene Grafe both of Terre Haute and Beverly Herrington and her husband, Jim, of West Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 5 sisters, Delores Laubert, Geneva Smith, Christine Brownfield, Martha Garwood and Rose Brandenburg. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Maxine’s nephew, Randy Laubert, for the loving care and compassion he provided to Maxine. Private burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. on December 28, 2015.5

Vest, Roanoke. Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006, at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son in Salem with Pastors Nicholas Shaffer and Marshall Allen officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to West Salem Baptist Church.
