     Lillie Mae Hilligas was buried at Stromsburg Cemetery, Stromsburg, Polk Co., Nebraska.^2,3 Her Social Security Number was 507-16-0047.⁴ She was born on August 28, 1920 at Hamilton Co., Nebraska.^1,2,4,3 As of March 3, 1947,her married name was Johns.² She married Vernon Charles Johns, son of William Jeff Davis "Willie" Johns and Idella Constance Finney, on March 3, 1947 at Phillipsburg, Phillips Co., Kansas.^2,3 Lillie Mae Hilligas died on March 9, 2009 at Stromsburg, Polk Co., Nebraska, at age 88.^2,4,3 She Lillie Mae Johns, age 88, of Stromsburg, passed away March 9, 2009 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg. Memorial services will be held Friday, March 13, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Stromsburg with Pastor Willis Pauls officiating. Inurnment will be in the Stromsburg Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola is in charge of arrangements. Lillie was born August 28, 1920 to Ervin E. and Leonie M (Misner) Hilligas at home in Hamilton County Nebraska. She attended school in Hordville and graduated from Hordville High School. On March 3, 1947 she was united in marriage to Vernon C. Johns in Phillipsburg, Kansas. To this union six children were born. The family lived in Wyoming and Lincoln before moving to Stromsburg. Lillie worked as manager for the Res-Q-Shoppe in Stromsburg for 30 years. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary #131 and the Eagles Club. Survivors include her children, Bonnie (Harvey) Sieck of Stromsburg, John (Carol) Johns of LaQuinta, California, Joe (Terrill) Johns of York, Julie (Andy) Young of Santa Rosa, California, Jennifer (Terry) Bloom of Columbus and Jeff (Beth) Johns of Dwight; 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; sisters Ruth Nelson of Grand Island and June Robinson of Fullerton and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Johns; parents Ervin and Leonie Hilligas; one infant daughter; sister Leala Hilligas; two brothers Glen and Lloyd; and two brothers-in-law Al Nelson and Ralph Robinson. Memorials are suggested to the Evangelical Free Church in Stromsburg. on March 11, 2009.³

     Glen Irving Furhman was buried at Oakland Cemetery, 1600 N. 15th Street, Fort Dodge, Webster Co., Iowa.⁴ His Social Security Number was 709-03-0089.³ He was born on June 4, 1895 at Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., Iowa.^2,3 He married Mary Emily "Emma" Johns, daughter of John Johns and Adeline Ruhama "Addie" Conner, on March 1, 1913 at Boone Township, Boone Co., Iowa.¹ Glen Irving Furhman died on December 19, 1974 at age 79.³

     Karen Faye Looney was buried at Glade Creek Cemetery, Blue Ridge, Botetourt Co., Virginia.¹ She was born on August 2, 1959 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2,4 As of December 17, 1977,her married name was Pilkerton.² She married Joseph Leroy Pilkerton on December 17, 1977 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.² Karen Faye Looney and Joseph Leroy Pilkerton were divorced on October 14, 1981 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁵ As of November 7, 1981,her married name was Arnold.² Karen Faye Looney married Robert Winfred "Bobby" Arnold Jr. on November 7, 1981 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,3,2 As of May 17, 2003,her married name was Williams.² Karen Faye Looney married Donald Monroe "Don" Williams on May 17, 2003 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2 Karen Faye Looney died on April 24, 2006 at Botetourt Co., Virginia, at age 46.^1,6 She Karen Faye Looney Williams, 46, of Blue Ridge, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006. She was born August 2, 1959, the daughter of the late Rucker P. Looney and Elva Dudding Looney. She was preceded in death by a son, Jason Price Arnold. She was a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School. Surviving are her husband, Don Williams of Blue Ridge; two sons, Todd Arnold and his wife, Michelle of Roanoke, Robbie Arnold and his wife, Nikki of Blue Ridge; daughter-in-law, Heather Dooley of Montvale; brothers, Mike Looney and wife, Laura of Montvale, Timmy Looney of Montvale, Jeff Looney of Blue Ridge; former husband, Bobby Arnold of Roanoke; stepchildren, Jonathan Williams and wife, Katie of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Corey Williams of Nashville, Tenn., Sandy Hall and husband, Harry of Nashville, Tenn; very special grandchildren, Jaycee "Princess" Arnold, Jason "Bolo" Arnold, Stephanie and her husband, Michael, Khia Hall, Tayler "Tater" Bohon-Holdren; special niece, Heather Looney; nephews, Jamie Looney, Joey Looney, Dustin Sledd; numerous aunts, uncles and friends. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday at Glade Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Stevens officiating. He was born April 24, 1984, and was a 2002 graduate of Liberty High School. He was an employee of M. L. Leonard and Sons. Surviving are his mother, Karen Williams and stepfather, Donald Williams of Blue Ridge; father, Robert Arnold, Jr. of Blue Ridge; special friend, Rhonda Hurley of Roanoke; two brothers, Todd Lee Arnold of Buchanan and Robert W. Arnold, III of Blue Ridge; paternal grandparents, Mildred and Robert Arnold of Blue Ridge; half sister, Dana Barber of Florida; stepbrothers, Corey Williams of Blue Ridge and Jonathan Williams of Florida; uncles, Jeff Looney of Blue Ridge, Timmy Looney of Montvale, Mike Looney of Montvale, Darrell Arnold of Roanoke and their wives; special friend, Kayla Hurley; many other special friends and relatives.
