His wife Betty was also seriously injured, suffering a broken leg and wrist, hand badly mangled and internal injuries. Clifford Larson of Kansas City, owner and driver of the vehicle was uninjured. No authentic reports of the accident could be obtained at this time but it was partially concluded that the car had missed a curve in the highway and gotten out-of-control ,going into a ditch in overturning. The deceased is survived by four daughters, Linda, Rhonda, Debera and LeAnn all of the home in Kansas City; and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Lloyd besides several brothers and sisters. The body was brought to torneden Chapel here Wednesday for burial services which have not been completed. on August 16, 1956.4

Dyer of Walnut, Kan., on Dec. 23, 1983, in Fort Scott, and they spent the next several years operating the B & H Bait Shop in Walnut. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2000, and she moved to Arma until entering Sunset Manor of Frontenac in October 2007. She loved gardening and raising flowers, especially her roses. Barbara had no children of her own but is survived by several nieces, including Ronda Johnson, her caregiver. She is also survived by family in the Iola area. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a stepfather, Claude Hessong, a sister Betty Lloyd Sims Bernhart. Following cremation, Barbara will be interred in Iola beside her mother. She requested no services, but condolences to the family may be left in the care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, Fort Scott. on March 14, 2008.1
