Medical Center. Mr. Musselman served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, after which he was an employee of the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, retiring with over forty-two years of service. He was a member of the Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church. The son of the late Dot and Etta Pannell Musselman, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry Musselman and a sister, Agnes Sheppard. He is survived by his wife, Mary Epperly Musselman; a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Mary S. Musselman, Christiansburg; grandchildren, Marvin Ray Musselman and wife, Jennifer, Shawna Hall and husband, Don Joe, Brian Ray Musselman and fiance, Mandy Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Alissa, Amber, Jessica and Adam, all of Christiansburg; his mother-in-law, Mary Carroll, Salem; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Musselman, Salem; several half brothers and sisters; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Esther Gaye Ashworth; father, David C. Thompson, and his grandson, John Paul Wertz. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary St. Clair Thompson; three sisters, Debra Ashworth, Joyce Linkswiler, Gayle Pick; brothers, Eldon Ashworth, Ronald Ashworth; children, Charles E. Thompson, Mary F. Thompson, David R. Thompson, Darrell L. Thompson; Carolyn Thompson Witt; grandchildren, Samantha Donahue, Amy Thompson, Tiffany Joanis, Heather Witt, Caleb Witt, Chris Thompson, Rocky Dooley, Dale Dooley, Nicole Wooldridge, Karah Wooldridge, Eddie Wooldridge; 12 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. Edward served two years in the Army during the Korean War and worked for VDOT for 33 years before he retired. Edward spent his last few months on this Earth surrounded by his family, friends and his dogs in the care of Samantha Donahue and Amy Thompson. He never met a stranger, if he met you, he knew you. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mary would like to give a special thanks to all family who stepped up in the end to help with his care. Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Monday, April 13, 2015 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Revs. Ralph Parker and Barry Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on April 12, 2015.⁴

     Mary Loretta St. Clair Mary Loretta St.Clair Thompson, 85, of Roanoke, Va., took her journey to be in the arms of our Lord Jesus and her husband on Friday, December 1, 2017, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Elizabeth Baker St.Clair; father, Robert Charles St.Clair; husband, Edward Lewis Thompson; sisters, Echoleen Crawford, Christine Runyon and Eloise Crawford; brothers, Charles St.Clair, Robert St.Clair and Jasper St.Clair; and grandson, Paul Wertz. Mary is survived by three siblings; her children, Charles E. Thompson, Mary F. Thompson Steinmetz, David R. Thompson, Darrell L. Thompson, and Carolyn Thompson Witt (Moorman Witt); grandchildren, Samantha Gregory (Allen Gregory), Amy Thompson (Chris Dangerfield), Tiffany Joanis, Heather Witt, Caleb Witt (Josie), Chris Thompson, Rocky Dooley, Dale Dooley, Nicole Wooldridge, Karah Smith (Jesse), Edward Wooldridge, and Cassidy Kasey; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and last but not least the most dearest to her heart her lifelong friend, Dot Morris. Mary was the foundation of our family. She spent her life putting all others before herself. Mary worked and retired from Fred Whitaker with more than 30 years of service. She loved all her babies, blood or not, and she raised countless children throughout her 85 years. Mary had a personality that could not ever be duplicated. Her memory will live on through all of us. We would like to give special thanks to Penny Gardner (Miracle Hands) with Creative Balance Massage Therapy for her services for Mary and to her nurses, Karen and Barb with Heartland Hospice. Last but not least, her doctor of 37 years, Dr. Clifford Nottingham and staff at Carilion North Roanoke as well as her Pastor and family friend, Ralph Parker, for the prayers and support given during this time and countless times before. You all played a part in her life and we thank you for all the services you all provided to her. She loved each one of you.
